Ulfe has been through a lot during his time in the Elderwood. It’s not surprising that he might be struggling to fit into a traditional Majiri town in Palia.
Although Ulfe’s situation is improved, he now has more time to ponder and process everything he went through. He’s acting a little unusual and someone in Kilima Village has noticed.
Prerequisites For The ‘Sleepless In The Elderwood’ Quest
To unlock the ‘Sleepless In The Elderwood’ quest in Palia, you’ll need to complete the following first for best experience:
- Complete the main story through ‘Answering The Call‘.
- Complete the Elderwood main story through ‘Even As A Dream‘.
- Complete the Royal Highlands main story through ‘Cat’s In The Cradle‘.
How To Get The ‘Sleepless In The Elderwood’ Quest
To officially get the ‘Sleepless In The Elderwood’ quest, you’ll need to complete the prerequisites. Once you complete the ‘Cat’s In The Cradle’ quest, you should see the symbol shaped like a house appear on your screen.
The house symbol means you have a visitor at your housing plot. You’ll need to return to your home and talk to Nai’o to find out what’s happening and to get the quest.
You can check the status of the quest any time in the ‘Quests‘ area of the main menu. You’ll find it in the ‘Quests‘ section, under the ‘Villager‘ heading category.
Check On Ulfe
When you talk to Nai’o to officially get the quest, he’ll explain that he’s worried about Ulfe. He says Ulfe is behaving differently, but doesn’t seem to want to talk about whatever is bothering him.
Nai’o knows that you’re more familiar with everything Ulfe has endured, so he’s hoping that Ulfe will talk to you. Travel to the Elderwood Central Stables to find Ulfe.
He should be standing near the Echo Wall. Talk to Ulfe once you find him. He’s suffering from sleep deprivation and Subira thinks a sleeping potion might help.
Talk to Tamala about a sleeping potion that might work on Ulfe. Tamala may be at the Central Stables in the Royal Highlands, if she is not in her usual places.
The conversation option for this quest will be marked with a yellow quest flag indicator in the discussion interface. It will say “Ulfe needs your help…” for the chat option.
You’ll need to collect the following ingredients for Tamala:
- 500 Infected Essence (Elderwood)
- 3 Elderwood Orchids
- 2 Nightshadow Batterflies
The orchids and batterflies need to be in your inventory to continue with the quest. Return to Tamala and talk to her to give her the ingredients you collected.
Talk to Ulfe to give him the potion from Tamala. You can find Ulfe roaming around Kilima Village.
