The Elderwood and Zendruu Tree have been corrupted by the Echo in Palia. Tamala and Ulfe seem to know a way to cleanse the tree, but you’ll need to keep collecting enough Flowflowers.
Work with Subira, Tamala, and Ulfe to obtain the third Flowflower. Learn more about the Umbraan War as you talk with Echolings from the past.
Prerequisites For ‘The Road Not Taken’ Quest
Before you can get ‘The Road Not Taken’ quest in Palia, you’ll need to do the following first:
- Have access to the Elderwood.
- Complete main story quests through ‘Something Wicked‘.
- Complete ‘Even As A Shadow‘ quest.
- Complete ‘Do Not Go Gentle‘ quest.
- Complete ‘All That Is Not Gold’ quest.
How To Get ‘The Road Not Taken’ Quest
‘The Road Not Taken’ is an automatic quest. Once you’ve done the prerequisite quests, you should automatically receive this one.
You can check the status of the quest any time in the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu. It will appear in the ‘Main Story’ tab under the ‘Main’ category, as displayed in the picture above.
Find Another Echoling
Cleansing the Zendruu Tree requires 4 Flowflowers. You’ve collected 2 so far, but you’ll need 2 more.
To find the next Echoling, use the navigation bar at the top of your screen to help. You’ll see either an exclamation point, or a main story quest marker to guide you in the correct direction.
When you arrive at the proper location, Ulfe, Subira, and Tamala will already be there. Chat with the Echoling to find out what help it might need.
Read the letter on the nearby table. Chat with the Echoling again after reading the letter.
Read the updated letter. Talk to the others about the situation. Check the letter again for any updates.
Talk with the others about the latest attempt to change the past. Chat with the Echoling again.
Collect the Flowflower. Talk to the others to complete the quest. You’ll automatically receive the next quest called, ‘A Thousand Slimy Things’.
