Magic does strange things in the land of Palia, and Subira has felt a shift in the Elderwood. The Echo Wall has been breached, and she needs your help.
Work with Subira and Ulfe to travel beyond the Echo Wall. Investigate the situation for clues about what’s wrong with the forest.
Prerequisites For The ‘Even As A Shadow’ Quest
To unlock the ‘Even As A Shadow’ quest in Palia, you’ll need to do the following:
- Have access to the Elderwood.
- Complete main story through ‘Something Wicked‘ quest.
Once you have the quest, you can check the status of it any time by visiting the main menu ‘Quests’ tab. You’ll find it under the ‘Main Story’ section of quests, and also under the ‘Main Story’ category.
How To Get The ‘Even As A Shadow’ Quest
Once you’ve met the prerequisites, you won’t need to do anything special to get the ‘Even As A Shadow’ quest. Subira will visit your housing plot, and you’ll get the quest by talking to her.
You’ll have the option during your conversation with Subira, to either go with her to the Elderwood immediately or meet her there. You will find her at the Elderwood Central Stables.
Pass through the Echo Wall to learn more about the area. Follow the path until you meet with Subira and Ulfe.
Speak with Subira when you arrive. You’ll need to speak with her again in private after the initial conversation.
Talk to Ulfe to see how he’s doing. Inspect the doll Ulfe discards. Continue down the path until you meet with Subira and Ulfe again.
Talk to Subira about the Zendruu Tree. Place the 3 Mysterious Candles in the marked locations.
Search the immediate area for swirling sparkles. These will be the location for the candles. Interact to place them.
Talk to Tamala once you’ve placed all the candles. Enter the Zendruu Tree. This completes the quest, and will unlock the ‘Do Not Go Gentle‘ quest.
