2–3 minutes

The Elderwood in Palia is suffering from an infection that alters the plants, bugs, critters, and animals in the area. You’ve been teaming up with Subira to get more information about the anomaly.

You’ll be able to learn more about what the Order has discovered from the samples you’ve collected in previous quests. This is one mystery that may need to be solved sooner, rather than later.

Prerequisites For The ‘Something Wicked’ Quest

To get the ‘Something Wicked’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:

You can check the status of the quest in the main menu ‘Quests’ section. It will appear in the ‘Main Story’ quest tab, in the ‘Main’ category.

Talk To Subira

Palia character Subira in conversation during the 'Something Wicked' quest.

To begin the quest you’ll need to talk to Subira. You’ll then be able to review the information you have from the Order.

You should be able to find the documents in your inventory in the ‘Quest’ section which displays an exclamation point for the icon. You should have access to the following readable materials:

  • Elderwood Lab Results
  • A Letter From Erwhin
  • Hunter’s Diary

After you read the materials, the quest objective will update. You’ll need to talk to Subira again.

After the chat, you’ll need to follow Ulfe and Subira to the blocked passage in the Elderwood Central Stable area. Talk to Ulfe once you arrive.

Head back to Kilima Village and check on Jina and Heckla at the Temple of the Cosmos (it’s the one with the temple bundles). After a discussion with Jina and Heckla, talk to Subira on the other side of the room.

Meet Subira back at the Elderwood Central Stables. Before you leave the Temple of the Cosmos though, you’ll have an optional quest objective to talk to Jina and Heckla again.

If you speak with Jina and Heckla before you leave the temple, you’ll receive two servings of soup. One for you and the other for Subira.

Talk to Subira when you get back to the Elderwood Central Stables. You should have a quest option to give her the soup if you talked to Jina and Heckla before leaving the temple.

This will complete the quest and you’ll receive 500 infected essence and a Piksii Grove rare decor piece to place on your housing plot.
