The Royal Highlands in Palia are full of mystery. Even Eshelon himself is a bit mysterious, but he seems to have some knowledge about the area, which means you’ll need his help.
Work with Eshelon to find the different “trinkets” the Galdur Administrator requested. There are 4 items in total, but you’ll be searching for the one in the southwest for this quest.
Prerequisites For The ‘A Stitch In Time’ Quest
To get the ‘A Stitch In Time’ quest in Palia, you’ll need to do the following first:
- Complete the main story questline through ‘Answering The Call‘.
- Complete the Elderwood main story questline through ‘Even As A Dream‘.
- Complete ‘A Royal Welcome‘ quest.
- Complete ‘Administrative Access‘ quest.
How To Get The ‘A Stitch In Time’ Quest In Palia
To get the ‘A Stitch In Time’ quest in Palia, you’ll need to complete the prerequisites first. Once you’ve completed ‘Administrative Access’, you’ll automatically receive ‘A Stitch In Time’.
If you’re not sure if you have the quest, you can view the main menu ‘Quests’ section. You’ll find it in the ‘Main Story‘ tab of the quests, under the ‘Main‘ heading.
Meet With Eshelon In The Southwest
Once you obtain the ‘A Stitch In Time’ quest, you’ll need to meet Eshelon in the southwest, specifically The Standing Cliffs area. There should be a zone marked on the map, along with a main quest symbol in your navigation bar at the top of your screen to help guide you to the location.
Once you reach the proper quest zone, you should receive an automatic description about the area. When you find Eshelon, investigate the area for clues.
The location to search will again be marked on your map, and the main quest marker in the navigation bar will update to the new location. Eshelon will also be in the area.
You should find some Black Feathers nearby when searching the area near Eshelon. When you’ve found them, return to Eshelon and talk to him about your discovery.
Follow Eshelon to the lab after your discussion. This will be a tall tower in ruins, and should be nearby.
The main quest marker in the navigation bar and the map will both update to lead you to the new location. Talk to Eshelon when you arrive.
Eshelon will give you a key to the entrance to Eloine’s lab, but you’ll need to find the entrance. Search the surrounding area for a way into the lab.
Eloine’s Lab Entrance Location Answer
The lab entrance is inside the tower. Interact with the trapdoor on the floor to enter.
Once you’ve entered the lab, talk to Eshelon. You’ll see a Lab Access Note with hints about how to open the main door.
Main Door Riddle Puzzle Answer
Break the amber surrounding the buttons and then press them all. We pressed them in the following order:
- Button nearest to the trapdoor entrance.
- Button to the right of the main door.
- Button to the left of the main door.
Before you leave this lobby area in the lab, you will find a blue book on one of the tables. It is also marked as a Lab Access Note, and contains information about the Amber Echo.
In the adjoining lab room, search for 3 clues. There’s another blue book to read on the table in this room as well, along with 2 scrolls to read.
Around the room, there are sticky notes to read on some of the fixtures. Each one will give a little more information about Eloine’s personality.
Once you’ve read everything, talk to Eshelon. Leave the lab and activate the Aeroflow Mask Tracker item in your inventory.
Hunt the Jaakcats with yellow symbols above their heads until you obtain an Aeroflow Mask. Return to Eloine’s lab room.
Interact with the pedestal beneath the Phoenix statue to offer the mask and open the vault. Talk to Eshelon about the next steps.
Collect the following:
- 100 Amber Echo
- 5 Royal Highland insects
Activities such as foraging, bug-catching, and mining will all allow you to collect Amber Echo. You should be able to collect 100 quickly.
Return to Eshelon and talk to him to let him know you have everything. You’ll receive Eloine’s Ring which should simply allow you to gather more Amber Echo.
If you want to equip the ring, visit the ‘Accessories‘ section of the inventory main menu. In the Relic slot, unequip any equipped Relic, then interact with Relic slot to see all available Relics.
This will complete the quest. You’ll automatically be given the next quest, ‘Somewhere That’s Green‘.
