Jafar thinks he has discovered a way to make the famed Gilded Stone in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Since he’s not one to get his hands dirty with hard work, he’ll need your assistance.
Help Jafar with his alchemical experiments. It could be great for the valley, or it could just satisfy Jafar’s obsession with gold. Maybe it can keep him out of trouble.
Prerequisites For ‘The Alchemical Revolution’ Quest
To get ‘The Alchemical Revolution’ quest, you’ll need to do the following first:
- Have the Rift In Time expansion.
- Have Jafar at friendship level 4 or higher.
- Progress with Jack Skellington.
- Unlock the following characters:
- Ursula
- The Fairy Godmother
- Unlock the following biomes:
- The Forgotten Lands
You can check the status of the quest in the main menu ‘Quests’ section. The quest will appear with a Jafar icon.
How To Get ‘The Alchemical Revolution’ Quest
To begin ‘The Alchemical Revolution’ quest when all the prerequisites have been met, talk to Jafar. You’ll need to collect 3 iron ore.
You can freshly mine some iron ore, or take some from your storage, but it will need to be in your inventory. Once you have the iron ore, talk to EVE to see if she can turn it into iron dust.
Meet Jafar in his laboratory inside the palace. If using the main entrance, follow the red carpet and take the left set of stairs.
Talk to Jafar once you meet up with him in the lab. Interact with the alchemy stand next to Jafar to view the Alchemical Gold recipe.
The recipe for Alchemical Gold should be at the top, marked with a quest icon. Talk to Jafar to give him the Alchemical Gold.
Talk with the following villagers for more alchemical insight:
- Ursula
- Jack Skellington
- The Fairy Godmother
All the necessary villagers should appear in Eternity Isle for you. Ursula may be difficult to access, but if you wait a while she should eventually appear in an accessible water or quicksand pool.
Once you’ve spoken with each villager, collect the following:
- Ancient Sand-Polished Stone (quicksand fishing in The Borderlands)
- Mini Holiday Tree (grow from Jack Skellington’s seeds)
- Flying Book (catch from Ancient Landing)
There will be a sparkling gold fishing ripple in The Borderlands quicksand. Fish from that ripple to obtain the Ancient Sand-Polished Stone.
The seed from Jack will grow within a few minutes, and you should be able to plant it anywhere. We planted it in a grassy area though, just to be safe.
The Flying Book should be near the docks. You may need to use the sprint function to catch the book more easily, but you can also intercept its path with proper timing if you prefer.
Once you have all the items, return to Jafar’s lab in the palace. Talk to Jafar inside the laboratory to give him the items you’ve gathered.
You’ll need to experiment with the essences Jafar provided to craft the following:
- Essence of Will
- Essence of Wonder
- Essence of Wishes
You can read the clues the villagers gave you about the essences to help you figure out the proper combinations. Interact with the table nearby to collect the essences you need.
Use the cauldron next to Jafar to mix essences. The answers are below if you’d rather get the solution immediately for the quest essence formulas.
Formula Answers
Essence of Excitement + Essence of Hope + Essence of Sincerity = Essence of Wonder
Essence of Patience + Essence of Desire + Essence of Determination = Essence of Will
Essence of Fantasy + Essence of Hope + Essence of Desire = Essence of Wishes
Talk to Jafar to give him the 3 Major Essences you created. Interact with the alchemy stand to craft the Mysterious Stone.
The recipe for the Mysterious Stone should be at the top of the recipe list and should display a quest icon. Talk to Jafar to show him the results of your work.
You’ll need to try the following to draw out the rare Emotive Essences:
- Gift 5 favorite items to different villagers.
- Complete 5 Dreamlight Duties.
Once you’ve completed those tasks, check the main Wishing Well on Eternity Isle (Ancients Landing). Find the Essence of Wisdom, and the Essence of Benevolence.
Talk to Jafar to give him the new essences. This will complete the quest.
