Crops are not the only things you can manage on your farm in Moonlight Peaks. There are some supernatural critters you can care for as well.
You’ve probably noticed a few interesting creatures around Moonlight Peaks, and the farm animals are no exception. You’ll need to make sure you’ve got what you need, though, before jumping into ranching.
Prerequisites For The ‘Farm Animals For Sale’ Quest

To get the ‘Farm Animals For Sale’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Complete the ‘Register At Town Hall‘ quest.
- Complete the ‘Meet The Townsfolk‘ quest.
- Check in-game mailbox for a letter 1 day after completing ‘Meet The Townsfolk’.
You can check the status of the quest in the ‘Quest Log’ section of the menu. It will update as you complete tasks for the quest.
Visit Luna’s Farm

The first thing you’ll need to do once you have the ‘Farm Animals For Sale’ quest, is visit Luna’s farm. A cutscene will begin once you’re close enough to the farm.
You can find her farm by checking the map. It will be the building near the windmill.
Take the north path just before the bridge to town for the fastest route. There will be another bridge on that path leading east that you can take to get to her farm.
Purchase A Barn

Your next step for the quest is to purchase a Barn. You can purchase a Barn from the Howling Hammer shop.
It will cost 4,000 coins, and take 1 day (night) to build. You’ll also need to make sure there is sufficient space cleared on your farm land.
Clear out logs, trees, rocks, grass, flowers, and any other items that are in the space. The border showing the space your barn and yard will take up will be white if you can place it in the area.
Try placing it, and if it works, you’ll be asked if you’re sure you want to build it in that location. Once you’re sure, you can confirm the build.
| If you need to remove large fallen logs on your farm, or large stone mounds, you’ll need to upgrade your axe and pickaxe to copper versions at Ridge’s shop. |
Wait 1 night for the barn to finish building. Each barn can hold 4 animals. Once the barn is finished, the quest will automatically complete.
