To get settled into your family’s old land in Moonlight Peaks, you’ll first need to get the quest ‘Register At Town Hall’. There’s a lot to do on your farm, but you’ll definitely want to get registered as a town resident so you can get to work.
You’ll need to complete this quest in order to sell extra items on your farm and start earning some gold. Even though the game doesn’t force you to go directly to Town Hall, we promise it’s in your best interests to prioritize this quest.
Prerequisites For The ‘Register At Town Hall’ Quest
To get the ‘Register At Town Hall’ quest, you’ll need to do the following first:
- Officially leave your parents’ home.
- Spend 1 day (sleep) in your new home.
- Meet Orlock.
- Travel across the east bridge leading to town.
Once you’ve done these things, you’ll receive a cutscene as you head to town. You’ll meet a couple characters and will receive the ‘Register At Town Hall‘ quest from Brook.
Visit Town Hall
To get to the Town Hall, you can follow the main road into town. When it branches into multiple directions, take the north branch. It should lead to a large building with a semi-circle staircase in the front.
Once you enter the building, a discussion should automatically begin with Brook. You’ll be introduced to your shipping bin, called Chester, who will sell anything you put inside.
Chester will appear on your farm after your discussion with Brook. The quest will automatically complete, and you’ll be all set to sell those extra items.
