The world of Disney Dreamlight Valley is expanding with the Wishblossom Ranch addition, and it’s clear that ripples of the Forgetting are still affecting places. The chaos happening in the Wishing Alps has caused some areas to be blocked off.
You need another Crystal Key to set things right, but you’ll have to get to Glamour Gulch and deal with Cruella to get it. Continue your efforts to repair the damage, and see how Cruella is faring.
Prerequisites For ‘The Decay Of Fashion’ Quest
To get ‘The Decay Of Fashion’ quest you’ll need to do the following:
- Purchase the Wishblossom Ranch expansion.
- Complete beginning Disney Dreamlight Valley quests.
- Complete beginning Wishblossom Ranch quests through ‘Crystal Cavern: Wishing Alps‘.
You can check the status of the quest as soon as you receive it. It will be in the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu. You’ll receive it immediately after completing ‘Crystal Cavern: Wishing Alps’.
Talk To Snow White
Once you have the quest, you’ll need to talk to Snow White to officially begin. She’ll let you know that you need to forge a bond with Maximus to be able to make the most use of his abilities.
You’ll need to raise your friendship level with Maximus to 3. You can do the following activities to raise friendship level:
- Riding
- Jumping Obstacles
- Petting
- Brushing
- Feeding
- Regular valley activities
You can check his current friendship level by viewing the ‘Collection’ part of the main menu in the ‘Mounts’ category. You can also find his daily favorites for feeding options as well.
Once you get Maximus to friendship level 3, you should talk to Snow White. Follow Snow White to the destination. She’ll lead you to a bridge that used to connect to Glamour Gulch.
Talk to Snow White once you’ve reached the bridge, and she has a quest icon above her head. Follow the tire tracks left by Cruella’s car to find her.
The tire tracks will lead to another bridge that happens to be broken. You’ll need to use Maximus’ ability to gallop over the it.
The tire tracks will end at a quarry. You’ll need to take the ramp leading down into the quarry for further investigation.
Locate Cruella’s makeup kit in the quarry. It will be emanating a red smoky aura. Interact with it to allow Maximus to catch Cruella’s scent. You will need to be riding Maximus when you interact with the makeup kit.
You’ll now be able to see a scent trail of red smoke orbs that will help you get to Cruella. Follow the scent trail while riding Maximus.
The scent should take you to the northeast area of Paisley Park. You’ll need to use the gallop feature to get to Cruella since she is trapped by dead Wishblossoms.
After your chat with Cruella, you’ll need to take pictures of certain locations:
- Mine tracks in the Quarry
- The Iron Bridge
- The Lighthouse
Explore Glamour Gulch to find the points of interest. You’ll need to dismount in order to take pictures.
Once you have the pictures talk to Cruella. She should be waiting where you originally found her. Her icon should appear on the map if you don’t remember the cave’s location.
Follow Cruella to the Bell Tower ruins. Talk to Cruella when she has a quest marker icon above her head.
You’ll need the following materials to fix the Bell Tower:
- 20 Pixie Dust (Dead Wishblossoms)
- 10 Sequin Strands (Foraging)
- 10 Antique Clothes Irons (Mining)
- 10 Beady Soil (Digging)
- 5 Jasper (Mining)
When you’ve collected all the materials, return to the Bell Tower. Interact with the blueprint construction sign to deliver the materials.
Cruella will remain by the Bell Tower until you interact with it. You can use her icon on the map to find your way back to it if you need to.
Once the Bell Tower has been repaired, talk to Cruella. Find the Afternoon Tea Recipe book in your inventory. Use the book from your inventory to learn the recipe.
Talk to Goofy about the recipe. Visit his mobile caravan after your chat. You’ll need the following:
- 1 Dark Chocolate Coffee Bean seed
- 1 Pearly Barley seed
You’ll also need the following:
- 1 Pincushion Peach
- 1 Vegetable (any kind)
Grow the seeds you purchased. In about 30 minutes both should be ready to harvest. You’ll want to check on them though, since you will need to water them more than once.
After you’ve gathered all the ingredients, you’re ready to make some tea. There’s a cooking station in the quarry.
Cook the Afternoon Tea Set. The recipe should appear at the top with a quest marker on the left side.
Return to Cruella and see if the Afternoon Tea Set meets her approval by talking to her. She’ll give you feedback, and a table setting.
Place the table setting she gives you somewhere in Glamour Gulch. You can access the table from the ‘Furniture’ menu.
There will be a shortcut icon of Cruella at the top of the ‘Furniture’ menu. Place the table, then take a picture of the table setting.
Talk to Cruella after you have tea. This will complete the quest. The next quest, ‘The De Vil Crash‘ will become available immediately.
