The Crystal Cavern in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Wishblossom Alps is beautiful, but also is in a spot of trouble. Join Tinker Bell to help investigate the issue.
You’ll also get to team up with your Wishblossom Horse buddies to tackle the challenges the Crystal Cavern might present. Find out more about the situation in the Wishblossom Alps, and meet a new friend as well.
Prerequisites For The ‘Crystal Cavern: Wishing Alps’ Quest
To get the ‘Crystal Cavern: Wishing Alps’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Purchase the Wishblossom Ranch expansion.
- Complete beginning Disney Dreamlight Valley quests.
- Complete Wishblossom Ranch quests through ‘Wheel Big Trouble‘.
- Have the Crystal Key in your inventory.
You can check the status of this quest in the main menu ‘Quests’ section.
Bring The Crystal Key To Tinker Bell
When you’re ready to explore deeper into the cavern, bring the Crystal Key to Tinker Bell. She should be waiting at the Wishblossom Heart. Have the key in your inventory.
Talk to Tinker Bell to hand over the Crystal Key. Follow Tinker Bell and then talk to her again when a quest marker appears above her head.
Tinker Bell will be able to reveal the path with the Crystal Key. You can now explore in the cavern.
You won’t get too far when you enter the cavern. You’ll need to use the Wishblossom Horse’s push ability to move the ranch boulder onto the wooden platform.
This will open the door halfway. You’ll need to then ride your horse over to the other platform to open it the rest of the way. You’re safe to ride through the door once it’s open.
Gallop over the hay bale obstacles to continue into the cavern. You’ll arrive at an elevator. There’s a lever on the left side of the elevator.
Interact with the lever to activate the elevator. Continue down the path until you reach the Wishblossom of Hope (Giant Wishblossom flower). It will give you instructions to destroy the strange red crystals.
Pink Area In Crystal Cavern
Take the first path on the left in the cavern (called the Pink area). You’ll have a puzzle to solve in the next room. You’ll need to remove dead Wishblossoms and use your horse’s push ability to move ranch boulders into their proper places.
There will be elevators where necessary so you and your horse can get to the platforms. The puzzles will use the same door-opening mechanic of one platform with a boulder, and another platform that you will need to stand on with your horse to finish opening doors.
Once the door is open you can continue into the newly-revealed room. Interact to the destroy the strange red crystal in the new room. Return to the main area with the Wishblossom of Hope.
Green Area In Crystal Cavern
Continue left in the main area and use the elevator to reach the upper level. Follow the path until you reach another strange red crystal. Interact to destroy it.
Return to the main area. You won’t be able to jump down, so you’ll need to retrace your steps and use the elevator to get back down.
Blue Area In Crystal Cavern
When you’ve returned to the main area, continue to the left. Enter the tunnel. You’ll need to use the stairs on the right side of the new room to reach the ranch boulder.
Use the Wishblossom horse’s push ability to maneuver the boulder into place. Dead Wishblossoms will prevent your horse from being able to push if they are in the path, so remove them first if necessary.
When the boulder is in place, you can ride over the empty platform to fully open the door. This will reveal another small room with a strange red crystal. Interact to destroy it, like you did with the others.
Return to the main area to talk to the Wishblossom of Hope. All the strange crystals have been destroyed at this point.
You’ll be able to use Maximus now. He can jump long distances such as across broken bridges.
Special areas you can use Maximus will be marked with the Tangled sun icon In Pixie Dust. Jumping through these will also repair broken bridges, etc.
Approach Maximus and go for a ride. Use his ability to jump over the water with the broken trail. He should already be facing your destination. You won’t need to do anything special, just use the Gallop feature.
You’ll have a series of chasms to jump over until you reach an option to exit the caverns. This will take you right back to the Wishblossom Heart where Tinker Bell is waiting.
You’ll automatically begin a conversation with Tinker Bell, and the quest will complete. You’ll receive the next quest, ‘The Decay Of Fashion’.
