Every character in Disney Dreamlight Valley brings their own charm to the valley. It’s always a treat to see favorite Disney characters roaming around.
Characters also bring their own special quests to the valley. Aladdin has an intriguing new idea after a certain caper at Scrooge McDuck’s shop. Find out what he has planned.
Prerequisites For The ‘Bring Your Own Carpet’ Quest
To get the ‘Bring Your Own Carpet’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Unlock Aladdin and Jasmine.
- Unlock Minnie Mouse.
- Unlock Maui.
- Have Aladdin at friendship level 4 or higher.
- Progress with the following villagers:
- Kristoff
- Mickey Mouse
- Maui
- Complete the ‘Good As Gold‘ quest.
You can check the status of the quest any time in the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu. The quest will be marked with Aladdin’s icon on the left side of the ‘Quests’ menu.
Talk To Aladdin
To start the ‘Bring Your Own Carpet’ quest, talk to Aladdin. He’s got an idea for you.
You’ll next need to talk to Merlin about possible enchantments. Enter the Dreamlight Library (Merlin’s home) and search for the following books:
- Carpet Weaving
- Fabric Enchantment
- Flying Technique
When you’ve found all the books, bring them to Aladdin. You’ll be able to deliver all the books by talking to him.
He’ll send you to work on the next part of the plan, which is the weaving. Talk to Minnie Mouse for some help.
Minnie gives you a list of materials you’ll need to weave your own carpet. Gather the following:
- 4 Dream Shards
- 4 Blue Hydrangeas
- 4 Purple Bell Flowers
- 25 Fiber
Once you’ve gathered all the supplies, return to Jasmine’s and Aladdin’s house.

Talk to Aladdin to give him the materials for weaving the carpet. The newly-woven carpet will be on the floor of Jasmine’s and Aladdin’s home.
Interact with the carpet to apply the Magic Scroll that Aladdin gives you. Talk to Aladdin to see if the enchantment worked.
Leave Aladdin’s and Jasmine’s house, then follow Aladdin in the valley. If you have his house set in an expansion location, you’ll need to travel back to Dreamlight Valley.
You should be able to find Aladdin standing in front of the Magic Castle. Meet him there, and talk to him once he has a quest marker above his head.
Equip the Dreamlight Magic Carpet by entering your Wardrobe menu. There will be a shortcut in the ‘Requests’ section with Aladdin’s icon.
You can select the Dreamlight Magic Carpet from the shortcut to equip it. Aladdin has set up a flying carpet tour for you. You’ll need to glide under the Dreamlight banners that have been set up.
You should have received some baked goodies to help replenish your energy. You’ll need to have at least *some* yellow in your energy bar to be able to glide.
Here’s where you’ll need to travel:
- Plaza
- Forest of Valor
- Dazzle Beach
- Peaceful Meadow
- Dazzle Beach Stairs
- Dazzle Beach Bridge
- Wooden Dock near Skull Rock
When you’ve taken the tour, talk to Aladdin. This will complete the quest, and now you’ll be able to use your Dreamlight Magic Carpet whenever you feel like gliding.
