Scrooge McDuck is probably Disney Dreamlight Valley’s richest villager. He wants to make sure he doesn’t slack off on security, even in the valley, especially when there are villains roaming about.
He’s considering installing a security system for his General Store, and he wants Aladdin to help test it. Aladdin could use some help to make sure the testing is as thorough as possible.
Prerequisites For The ‘Good As Gold’ Quest
To get the ‘Good As Gold’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Welcome Aladdin and Jasmine to Dreamlight Valley.
- Have Aladdin at friendship level 2 or higher.
- Have Scrooge McDuck’s General Store unlocked with a 2nd floor.
- Have access to Peaceful Meadow.
- Unlock Dazzle Beach.
You can check the status of this quest any time by visiting the main menu ‘Quests’ section.
Talk To Aladdin
To begin the ‘Good As Gold’ quest, talk to Aladdin. He’ll give you the news about Scrooge McDuck’s latest addition to the store.
You’ll need to let Scrooge know that you’ll be testing his new security system. Scrooge wants you to look at the store and take pictures to give you every possible advantage.
Take pictures in the shop of the following:
- “A door that guards more treasure than the Cave of Wonders.” (the safe)
- “A way to reach the second floor of the shop.” (both sets of stairs)
- “Ways to make quick escapes from guards.”
The stair pictures may automatically complete the third picture requirement as well as the second. When you’ve taken all the necessary pictures, talk to Aladdin for the next steps.
You’ll need to change your clothing to prepare for the heist. You’ll need to wear 2 sporty pieces, and 5 pieces that are dark in color to blend in with the night.
There will be two Aladdin icons in the wardrobe section to help you easily find items that will fulfill the quest requirements. Once you’re dressed in the appropriate gear, head into Scrooge’s General Store.
Follow Aladdin and talk to him once he has a quest marker showing. Aladdin will be standing by a large red button on the wall near the shop counter. You’ll need to interact with the button at the location marked on the floor.
‘Good As Gold’ Security System Testing
Once you interact with the red button in Scrooge’s store, you’ll enter a night version of his shop. There’ll be security lights, as well as red buttons in various places.
You’ll need to stay away from the security lights, and use the red buttons to change your environment. Talk to Aladdin about the situation.
Your first task is to push the red button on the upstairs table in Scrooge’s shop. It will move one of the spotlights on the floor.
The red button on the wall will turn off two of the lights and make moving around upstairs easier.
You can press another button on one of the small tables upstairs to turn off another spotlight. Then, use the button on the middle table upstairs to turn off another one.
Once you’ve removed enough spotlights you should be able to get to the first floor. You’ll need to deactivate the security system by pressing that same red button near Scrooge’s shop counter.
You’ll need to use the two nearest red buttons on the first floor to move the spotlight so you can get to the other end of the room. The red button at the other staircase will turn off the spotlight near the shop counter.
You should then be able to deactivate the system. Follow Aladdin to the vault, then talk to him for further instructions.
Chase the enchanted coins, and interact with them to pick them up. You’ll need to catch all 4 coins. Talk to Aladdin about the enchanted coins.
Some coins may have escaped into Dreamlight Valley. Leave the shop and make sure to collect 9 enchanted coins around the valley.
Once you’ve collected all 9 coins, visit Aladdin and Jasmine’s house. Talk to Aladdin to give him the flying coins.
Take a picture of Aladdin with the magic coins that were collected. Leave Aladdin and Jasmine’s house and follow Aladdin. Listen to the conversation he has with Scrooge McDuck.
Talk to Aladdin after the conversation. This will end the quest.
