One of the most beloved aspects of cozy farming games for many people, is the ability to care for animals. The Ranching Skill in the Palia game is a feature that allows you to care for animals, and even pet them.
While you shouldn’t pet Bees randomly in real life, trust me on that, it’s perfectly fine in the lovely world of Palia. Auni wouldn’t let you look after Bees if it wasn’t safe, right?
Prerequisites To Get Bees
Before you can get Bees to care for, you’ll need to complete the following:
- Complete the ‘Ranching 101‘ quest.
- Complete the ‘Ranching 102‘ quest.
- Unlock Trufflets.
- Unlock Ormuus.
- Reach Ranching Skill level 9.
This is a quick interaction to unlock the Bees, similar to the Trufflets and Ormuus.
Talk To Auni
When you reach level 9 with your Ranching Skill, Auni will appear in the ranching area. You’ll need to chat with him.
He will give you a voucher for a free Bee. You can use the voucher at the normal cash register to acquire the free Bee.
If you like to have pairs for breeding, a second Bee will cost you 1,200 gold. The free Bee should appear in the cash register list above the one that costs gold.
Bees eat any food items the same way your other animals do, from individual foods like corn to cooked dishes. Your new Bees will begin in the animal nursery area.
The Bees are fairly small and will be flying around the area. You should see the birthday candle marker above them, which will make it easier to locate them the first time.
Interact with the Bee for a chance to give them a name and to check their status and traits. You’ll be able to feed and pet the Bees just like you can with the other animals.
They will automatically move out of the nursery area as they grow up. You can use the Animal Roster book in the main ranching area to assign animal pens.
