Friendship Island may be the most unthreatening place to some, but Cogimyun is still struggling with her vow to train and explore the island in search of her friend Ebi Fry.
Doing difficult things is usually a bit easier when surrounded by friends. Team up with Hello Kitty to help Cogimyun make more friends so she’ll feel brave enough to achieve her goals.
Prerequisites For The ‘Blossoming Friendship’ Quest
To get the ‘Blossoming Friendship’ quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you’ll need to do the following:
- Have Wheatflour Wonderland DLC
- Have Cogimyun at friendship level 5 or higher.
- Complete the ‘Potion Problems‘ quest.
- Complete the ‘Montage Magic‘ quest.
- Complete the ‘Small Friend, Big Gifts‘ quest. (To help with friendship level)
You can check the status of the quest by visiting the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu. In the ‘Active Quests’ tab, you’ll find this quest in the ‘Wheatflour Wonderland‘ section.
Talk To Hello Kitty
To begin the ‘Blossoming Friendship’ quest, you’ll need to talk to Hello Kitty. She’s usually in her café in the Seaside Resort area.
Hello Kitty suspects that Cogimyun needs more friends to help her become brave enough to explore Friendship Island.
You’ll need to give Cogimyun enough gifts to raise her friendship level to 8 or higher. If you want to quickly raise her friendship level you can use the following items to reset her daily gift limits:
- Friendship Blossoms
- Friendship Bouquets
- Deluxe Friendship Bouquets
Once you’ve given Cogimyun enough gifts to reach friendship level 8 or higher, return to Hello Kitty. She wants you to go back to Wheatflour Wonderland and tell Cogimyun that friends will be coming to meet her.
After talking to Cogimyun, follow Hello Kitty and talk to Tuxedosam to introduce him to Cogimyun. After Cogimyun meets Tuxedosam, follow Hello Kitty again to the next area.
You’ll meet up with Pochacco and Keroppi. Talk to Pochacco to begin the introductions.
Chococat will be waiting for you after you follow Hello Kitty again. Talk to Chococat for the introduction. Follow him to see what he’s curious about.
Interact with the Flowl Statue to see if it can bring down the barrier. The statue should have a quest marker above it for easy identification.
You’ll need to interact multiple times with the statue to bring the barrier down. Next, talk to Chococat, then follow him to the next location.
Talk to Chococat again when he stops and has the quest marker above his head. You’ll need to give Chococat some supplies so he can test out one of the devices in Wheatflour Wonderland.
Use the gift function to give Chococat the following:
- 3 Gizmos
- 3 Sparks
You’ll need to gift him this 2 times, so you’ll need a total of 6 Gizmos and 6 Sparks. He’ll awaken the Wand Forge in Wheatflour Wonderland.
Interact with the Wand Forge to forge a Test Wand. You’ll need 3 Jemmies and 1 Stick. Talk to Chococat after crafting to let him check the new wand.
To equip the new wand, you’ll need to open your inventory. Scroll to the last category to the right. It should be next to the music disc icon.
From the wand category, select the wand and then select ‘wear’. Talk to Chococat after you’ve successfully equipped the wand.
Chococat has an idea for another wand, but it will need different supplies this time. Gather the following materials for Chococat:
- 5 Bronze Flecks
- 5 Quartz
Flecks can be obtained from the race mini-game you around Wheatflour Wonderland, and Quartz can be obtained through exploration. Gems will just be hovering above the ground in Wheatflour Wonderland.
Return to the Wand Forge and talk to Hello Kitty. During the wand crafting this time, you’ll need to tap on the available spaces in the crafting interface to fill them with the appropriate items.
Only some of the items will be pre-filled. There will be four crafting spots for the new Magic Wand recipe.
The first spot should be pre-filled with Fairy Dust. The next spot should have the Quartz, and then the Bronze Fleck. The last spot will give you a choice between a number of items you can use such as Feathers, Ingots, or Sparks.
Talk to Hello Kitty when you’ve forged the new wand. To swap to the new wand you can do it from inventory, or you may have the option to use the wand button to quick swap to the new wand.
Use the new wand, and then talk to Cogimyun. This will end the quest, and should lead to the following quests:
- Fairy Glamour
- Noodling
- Rescue! Friendship Island Awaits
There’s a fast-travel waypoint at the Wand Forge, so if you activate it, you’ll be able to get back to it quickly from anywhere else.
