There are many interesting characters in the town of Moonlight Peaks. Noel is just one of them, but he’s down for a fishing challenge if you’re willing to participate.
Who will become the new master fisherman in town? Will Noel keep his title, or will there be a new master? There’s only one way to find out.
Prerequisites For The ‘Outfish The Fisherman’ Quest
To get the ‘Outfish The Fisherman’ quest, you’ll mostly likely need to complete the following:
- ‘Register At Town Hall‘ quest.
- ‘Meet The Townsfolk‘ quest.
- Take the path north just before the bridge to town.
We did this in the early evening hours just after waking, around 6pm. It should begin a cutscene with Noel when you enter the area.
Catch 3 Different Fish
Noel believes he is a master fisherman, and wants to compete with you. He’ll give you a fishing rod that you’ll be able to keep, even after the quest is done.
You’ll need to fish up 3 different types of fish before he does, or the loser pays 250 coins. There is no timer, so you’ll most likely be safe to take some time with this quest.
Fish in a couple different spots to increase your chances of getting different types of fish. Try fishing where you meet Noel for the fishing challenge, as well as on your farm or in town.
| You can use the ‘Reel’ button/key to move the fishing bobber at any time. Tap the key once to move the bobber and gain the attention of nearby fish. Hold the same button/key to fully reel in a fish once it has been caught. |
Once you’ve caught 3 different types of fish, find Noel and talk to him. You’ll receive 250 coins and the quest will complete.
