The old family house in Moonlight Peaks has seen better days. It’s in need of some tidying and repairs.
It’s clear that your Hellkitten isn’t used to such rough accommodations. You’ll need to make a nice napping spot so your Hellkitten can get cozy.

Prerequisites For ‘The First Step To Comfort’
To get ‘The First Step To Comfort’ quest, you’ll need to craft something at a Workbench or receive the Keg blueprint from Orlock. The next day, after your sleep, your Hellkitten should suggest that you make them a decent place to sleep.
You’ll receive the quest after the discussion with your Hellkitten. You can check the status of the quest by checking the main menu ‘Quest Log’. It will update as you complete parts of the quest.
Make Your Hellkitten A Bed
Once you have the quest, you’ll also receive the blueprint for the Coffin Cat Bed from your Hellkitten. You’ll need the following materials:
- 6 Wood
- 2 Fiber
Once you have the materials you need, interact with the Workbench and select the Coffin Cat Bed recipe. You may be able to select certain colors to customize the cat bed.
When you’ve crafted the Coffin Cat Bed, it will automatically be stored in your inventory. Access your inventory to place the bed somewhere in your house.
You may need to use the pickaxes and sickle to remove the weeds and stones inside your house. Once you’re in furniture-placing mode, you can also select the items on display in your house to move them, or to put them into your inventory or store them.
When you have placed the bed, talk to your Hellkitten to let them know the job is finished. You’ll receive a two-star Amour fish for completing the quest. The Hellkitten will recommend that you also place the fish in the house, but it is optional.
