From May 27 to June 9th, 2026 the Treasure Hunt Event is back just in time for summer-themed fun. Embrace your pirate-y side and get digging in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
This treasure hunt may not be exactly like an old-fashioned treasure map, but you’ll still need to put in a little work to claim the treasures. You’ll also get in-game rewards for solving the Treasure Trove Clues.

Prerequisites For The Treasure Hunt Event
To fully enjoy the Treasure Hunt Event in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to do the following:
- Unlock the Peaceful Meadow.
- Unlock Dazzle Beach.
- Unlock the Forest of Valor.
- Unlock the Glade of Trust.
- Unlock the Forgotten Lands.
- Unlock Frosted Heights.
- Progress in the main story enough to have an upgraded Royal Watering Can.
How To Participate In The Treasure Hunt Event
Once you’ve taken care of the prerequisites, you’ll need to find a special bit of cracked ground that glows gold. How appropriate for a treasure hunt!
Use the Royal Shovel to dig up the spot to receive a Treasure Trove Clue, or fish at a special fishing ripple with gold and red bubbles. Each clue contains a riddle or word puzzle. You can access the clue in your inventory.
The icons for the Treasure Trove Clues will look like books or notebooks. When you select them in your inventory, you’ll see a description of the item with the clue down at the bottom of your inventory interface.
Once you find the treasure, the Treasure Trove Clue book will disappear from your inventory. You’ll need to collect a total of 4 Treasure Trove Clues to reveal a special clue for a final treasure, but you may only find 1 clue per day.
If you have stayed logged into the game for multiple days without finding clues, you may be able to find previous days’ clues. Generally though, you’ll find at least 1 per day.

You can also participate in the Treasure Hunt Event by completing a couple special event duties. There is a new one for 2026 called “Fishing for Adventure“.
Another duty, which was available previously, is called “Expert Treasure Hunter”. If you login daily and solve your Treasure Trove Clues, you’ll easily complete this.
