Disney Dreamlight Valley has quite a few activities to keep you busy, and from July 30th, 2025 to August 12th, 2025 you’ll be able to participate in a Treasure Hunt event.

You’ll want to login and enjoy the treasure hunt, and maybe even complete some of your unfinished memories.

Updated August 12, 2025: Added further information regarding treasure hunt awards.

Activities For The Treasure Hunt Event

The Treasure Hunt event is a great way to get into a pirate-y spirit. Pirate clothing is optional, but it IS a treasure hunt after all.

This event is pretty simple, so here’s what you’ll need to do:

Find a dig-spot with a golden glow each day, called a Treasure Crack.

Solve clues, called Treasure Notes, from the Treasure Cracks.

Gain memory orbs from solving clues to fill in special treasure maps.

Once a memory is filled in, find the map location for a new special Treasure Crack.

Complete the event duty.

Treasure Cracks will only appear in biomes you’ve already unlocked in the basic game.

How To Complete The Expert Treasure Hunter Duty

There’s only one duty to complete in the Treasure Hunt event. You’ll need to solve 2 Treasure Notes from the Treasure Crack clues to complete the duty.

Once per day, according to the official blog, you’ll be able to find a golden Treasure Crack to dig. You’ll receive one Treasure Note with a clue.

You won’t be able to “read” the Treasure Note. Instead the “clue” part will show in the description when the Treasure Note is highlighted in inventory. It will look like a notebook in your inventory.

You need to solve the Treasure Note before 9am the following day. This time is dictated by the time of your device, so it will be 9am your local time.

If you haven’t solved it by then, it will disappear from your inventory. You can only solve 1 Treasure Note per day since there is only 1 Treasure Crack per day.

You’ll need to login at least 2 days and solve 2 Treasure Notes to complete the duty. You’ll receive a golden memory orb whenever you solve a Treasure Note.

How To Get The Rewards

There are only 2 official rewards for this event. When you complete the single event duty, you’ll receive a pirate-themed motif to use when you customize your own clothing and furniture.

To complete the main event task, you’ll need to solve 4 Treasure Notes which will complete a treasure map. The map will be a memory of a familiar location.

You’ll need to visit the location to find a new Treasure Crack. This new Treasure Crack should give you the main reward, which is a Pirate Mast that can be used with Touch of Magic decorating.

Any more Treasure Notes you solve will still provide an extra treasure such as coins and gems. The memory orbs that were originally described as possible rewards to fill in previous memories don’t seem to occur, and the original wording on the official blog has also been changed to remove anything about receiving extra memory orbs.
