Welcome the new year (the Lunar New Year) with new clothing styles and eye-catching decor in Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s 2026 ‘Luck and Lanterns’ event. Did you miss past events? Don’t worry, you’ll be able to snag those rewards too!
Celebrate the new year, Year of the Fire Horse, with your friends on Friendship Island. Decorate your house with your new decor, and show off your sense of style. Don’t forget there’s also the ‘Hugs and Hearts’ 2026 event happening as well.
How To Participate In The ‘Luck and Lanterns’ Event
To participate in the ‘Luck and Lanterns’ event, you can do the following:
- Login daily for special rewards.
- Collect Lanterns.
- Collect Tealights.
- Complete daily quests to receive Tealights.
- Check in-game mail during the event for special messages or rewards.
How To Use Lanterns And Tealights
Once you collect 1 Lantern per day in the Seaside Resort area, you’ll automatically convert the Lantern into Tealights. Tealights can be collected and exchanged for rewards at the ‘Luck and Lanterns’ event booth.
Interact with the event booth to view the current 2026 rewards, as well as the rewards from past ‘Luck and Lanterns’ events. You may also need Fabric and other items to complete exchanges.
There are a total of 48 items to collect during the 2026 ‘Luck and Lanterns’ event, which includes the past event collectibles. Check your collection progress to see what you already have.
You can view your collection progress by visiting the main menu and selecting the ‘Collections’ section. Once you’re in the ‘Collections’ screen, select the ‘Events’ option.
You can scroll through the events to find the ‘Luck and Lanterns’ event. Once you select the event, you can see anything you’ve already obtained in full color. Items you haven’t obtained yet will be a shadow silhouette.
