The story of Prismbeard, the notorious pirate, has mystified the inhabitants of Palia for quite some time. Auni’s sense of adventure has led him on a treasure-hunt, with you and Nai’o helping out.
Unravel the mystery of Prismbeard as you search the Elderwood, and other sources, for the true story of Prismbeard’s treasure. Is the treasure really as great as the rumors say?
Prerequisites For ‘The True Treasure’ Quest
To get ‘The True Treasure’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Have Auni at friendship level 2 or higher.
- Complete ‘Adventure On The Horizon‘ quest.
- Complete ‘Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure‘ quest.
You can check the status of this quest in the ‘Quests’ part of the main menu. You’ll find it in the ‘Quests’ tab under the ‘Discovery’ quest category.
Talk To Caleri
Once you complete the ‘Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure’, you’ll automatically receive ‘The True Treasure’ quest. You’ll need to talk to Caleri to start the quest.
She’ll give you a collection of news reports centering around Prismbeard. It is about 10 pages, so be prepared for a bit of reading.
If you want to read them at a later time during the quest, you can access them in the quest part of your inventory. It’ll be the inventory section marked with an exclamation point icon.
The item will be titled “Newspaper Clippings“. There’s a lot of information, as well as location pictures for where people believe Prismbeard may have grown up, and other points of interest.
Once you have the Newspaper Clippings, return to Auni and Nai’o. Talk to Auni to let him know you got information from Caleri.
| Make sure to have the Pirate’s Spyglass gear equipped. You can equip it similarly to the glider. There’s a ‘Quest Gear’ spot and if you click it, you should be able to select the Pirate’s Spyglass. This gear will disappear after the completion of this quest. |
Use the Newspaper Clippings information to locate Prismbeard’s supposed childhood home. Auni and Nai’o will be nearby. Sometimes talking to Auni provides additional hints.

Map Location Answer For First Clue
Once you find the proper location, you’ll need to chat with the Prismbeard statue. You’ll receive a clue to the next location.
Talk to Auni to let him know about the next clue. He and Nai’o will usually be a little distance from the actual location so look around in the surrounding area.

Head to the second location after checking the clues in the Newspaper Clippings. Chat with the Prismbeard statue. You’ll receive the next clue for the third location.
Talk to Auni and Nai’o who should be nearby. Head to the third location pictured in the Newspaper Clippings.
When you find the third location, chat with the Prismbeard statue. Afterward, tell Auni about the next clue.

The fourth picture in the Newspaper Clippings will give you a hint about the fourth location. Talk to the Prismbeard statue when you find it, then talk to Auni and Nai’o to relay the new information.

Search for the location for the fifth picture in the Newspaper Clippings. Talk to the Prismbeard statue when you find it. Talk to Auni to give him the updated information.

The sixth location involves heading back to Prismbeard’s cave. It is located in the Okanaa Bog area, so you can use the De Mer Dock fast-travel location to get closer.
The clue mentions you’ll need to find an overlook for Eobard’s Revenge, the crashed boat in Prismbeard’s cave. When you explore the upper level of the cave, you should encounter the sixth Prismbeard statue.
Enter the door near the sixth statue. There’s a puzzle to solve inside. Read the scrolls around the perimeter of the room.
Based on the information in the scrolls, you can solve the puzzle. You can use the console at the entrance to check whether your answer is correct. If not, it will reset the puzzle for you.

Use the in-game compass headings at the top of your screen to find out which console is North, etc.
- North console set to Siren (mermaid).
- East console set to Kraken (squid-like icon).
- West console set to the Whirlpool symbol.
- South console set to the snake icon.
Once you solve the puzzle, the door will open and you should see a treasure chest in the room. You can now loot the treasure chest.

When you head back to the hidden cave, you should receive an automatic dialogue with Auni and Nai’o. This will complete the Prismbeard questline.
