The month of October brings some sweet fun in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In fact, from October 15, 2025 to October 30, 2025, you’ll be able to collect special candy buckets in your valley.
Join your friends in Dreamlight Valley and share the fun, and the candy. You’ll be able to collect rewards from previous event years.
Prerequisites For The ‘Trick Or Treat’ Event
To be able to fully participate in the ‘Trick Or Treat’ event, you’ll need to have access to the Forest of Valor biome. The candy collection is located in the Plaza, so even if you’re new to Dreamlight Valley you can collect candy.
Activities For The ‘Trick Or Treat’ Event
To participate in the ‘Trick Or Treat’ event, you’ll need to do the following:
- Collect candy buckets/bowls that spawn in the Plaza.
- Complete event duties.
- Find a special chest in the Plaza to unlock a new Haunted Well mystery.
- Check in-game mail for a special recipe (if you don’t already have it).
You can also check the in-game description for the event. You’ll find it in the main menu in the ‘Events’ section.
Trick Or Treat Event Duties
There are multiple ‘Trick Or Treat’ event duties to complete. If you participated in previous years though, you may already have the duties completed. There are no new ones for 2025.

How Often Can You Get Candy?
Every 24 hours from October 15th through October 30th, you can collect the following:
- 2 Red buckets
- 2 Purple buckets
- 2 Green buckets
October 31st, you can collect the 2 buckets of each color every hour.
| For the candy buckets (bowls), there are a maximum of 5 that can be spawned in the Plaza at any given time. So, make sure you pick up candy buckets as soon as you find them. |
To solve the wishing well mystery, which is new content in 2025, you’ll need to first locate a treasure chest in the Plaza.
Interact with the chest, which should provide a memory orb. Collect the memory orb to receive a hint that has to do with a spooky wishing well in the valley.
You’ll need to travel to the Forest of Valor to find the spooky well. Interact with the well once you’ve solved the mysterious clue from the memory orb.
Spooky well puzzle solution
Give the well the following candies:
15 Green candies.
10 Red candies.
5 Purple candies.
You’ll have to provide the complete number of candies for a color before you can move on to giving the well another color candy.
When you solve the Haunted Well mystery, you’ll receive it as a decor item.
