It’s the 2025 Spooky Celebration event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure (HKIA) for a little while. It coincides with Fall, harvest, and Halloween celebrations in real-life if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere.

How To Participate In The ‘Spooky Celebration’ Event
Welcome to the spookiest time of year, October! Kuromi is full of energy and thrilled for her favorite time of year.
Here are the things you can do to join in the Spooky Celebration:
- Login daily to obtain rewards.
- Talk to 3 characters each real-life day (during the night game-cycle) for a Spooky Treat, or if you’re trick-or-treating with more than 3 characters, you’ll get a trick.
- Complete daily quests to get Spooky Treats. You’ll get 1 Spooky Treat for each completed daily quest.
- Collect pumpkins, glowberries, and mushrooms. You’ll need many of these to also exchange for some clothing items.
- Check for new in-game mail in case you receive more Spooky Treats.
You’ll receive 3 Spooky Treats from each Sanrio character who has the ‘Trick or Treat’ option when you talk to them. You’ll have to trick-or-treat during the night phase in the game.
You can trick-or-treat with permanent residents such as Dear Daniel, and if you have quests waiting with normal residents it may be better to ask other Friendship Island pals.

How To Use Spooky Treats In The ‘Spooky Celebration’ Event
You’ll be able to use the Spooky Treats you collect from your Friendship Island pals at the event booth. You can exchange them for some adorable spooky-themed decor, furniture, and clothing items.
You’ll be able to get rewards from past Spooky Celebration events by either visiting Tuxedosam’s shop and My Melody’s shop, or by using the extra tabs at the reward booth to find all the rewards.
You should be able to interact with just the reward booth, but this may depend on the platform you use for the game. If you have multiple tabs at the event booth, you shouldn’t have to worry about visiting the individual shops.
There are a total of 71 Spooky Celebration items to collect. You can check the status of your collection under the main menu.
Navigate to the ‘Events’ section of ‘Collections’ and select ‘Spooky Celebration‘ to see the rewards you’ve earned and the silhouettes of ones you don’t have yet.
