Just when you thought you might be getting closer to fixing Storybook Vale, Maleficent disappears. It seems that fixing the vale wasn’t as easy as just getting Maleficent and Hades to work together.
Keep investigating strange occurrences and try to prevent the same thing from happening to other residents of Storybook Vale. You’ll need to find out more about the vale if you want to set things right.
Prerequisites For ‘A Storm Of Stories’
To get the quest, ‘A Storm of Stories’ you’ll need to complete the following first:
Have Storybook Vale expansion.
Unlock all areas in Everafter and Mythopia.
Complete ‘The Mistress Of All Evil‘ quest.
Complete ‘Explore Mount Olympus‘ quest.
Complete ‘A Long-Awaited Invitation‘ quest.
You can check the status of the quest by visiting the main menu and navigating to the ‘Quests’ section.
Check Your In-Game Mail
To start the ‘A Storm of Stories’ quest, you’ll need to head to your home. Check your in-game mail for a message titled, ‘A Most Disturbing Development!‘.
Claim the letter from the message and visit The Lorekeeper in the library. Talk to The Lorekeeper to find out what they know.
Speak to Merida, then follow her to the strange whirlwind she mentioned. Talk to Merida once she stops and has the quest marker above her head.
Use the Royal Net to capture the strange snippets that emerge from the whirlwind. Pick up the glittering story page that appears. Talk to Merida after you pick up the page.
You’ll then need to talk to Flynn and you’ll have the option to catch more of the Shadowy Bird Snippets in The Bind. You can also complete new stories in The Lorekeeper’s pages.
After talking to Flynn, follow him to the whirlwind in Everafter. It should be at the southernmost part of Everafter, near one of the trials.
Talk to Flynn once you meet at the whirlwind. You’ll need to catch 5 Shadowy Frog Snippets. There will also be a sparkling page to pick up.
Bring the sparkling page to Flynn to see if it contains the missing part of his story. You’ll find more Shadowy Frog Snippets in The Wild Woods.
Talk to Hades, then follow him to a whirlwind in Mount Olympus. Talk to Hades again, then catch 5 Shadowy Demon Snippets. Pick up the sparkling page left behind.
Deliver the special page to Hades. Talk to The Lorekeeper about the situation. Complete the ‘Maleficent’s Journey’ story reorder. You can find more Shadowy Demon Snippets in Mount Olympus.
You’ll need the following to complete ‘Maleficent’s Journey’:
- 5 Shadowy Bird Snippets
- 5 Shadowy Frog Snippets
- 5 Shadowy Demon Snippets
Talk to The Lorekeeper after you reorder the story to get more information. Then interact with the sparkling chains to solve the floor puzzle. Enter the Unwritten Realms once the puzzle is solved.
This completes the ‘A Storm of Stories’ quest, and will automatically give you the next quest, ‘The Unwritten Realms: Maleficent’s Gift‘.
