There’s plenty of chaos in Storybook Vale, but neither Maleficent nor Hades seem pleased. Try to convince Maleficent to help restore things to a more peaceful state in this quest.
Prerequisites For ‘The Mistress Of All Evil’

In order to unlock ‘The Mistress Of All Evil‘ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Have the Storybook Vale expansion.
- Unlock the following areas:
- The Wild Woods
- Teapot Falls
- The Fallen Fortress
- Progress through Flynn’s level 7 friendship quests.
- Progress through Merida’s level 4 friendship quests.
- Unlock The Beanstalk Marshes (10,000 Storybook Magic)
You can check the status of the quest in the ‘Quest’ section of the main menu. You may also be able to unlock The Beanstalk Marshes before some of these prerequisites, but some of the story points are related to characters’ friendship quests.
You’ll have the best story-related experience if you complete the above tasks before jumping directly into The Beanstalk Marshes.
Explore The Beanstalk Marshes

As soon as you are able to get to The Beanstalk Marshes and remove the ink wall blocking the way, you’ll receive the quest ‘The Mistress Of All Evil’. Removing the ink wall will cost 10,000 Storybook Magic.
The first quest objective is to explore the area. If you choose to unlock the entrance to The Beanstalk Marshes from the Teapot Falls area, you’ll enter around the middle of the marsh.
You’ll also encounter a page lying on the ground. Interact with it, and then collect the memory orb to receive a journal page with hints regarding the main story.
Another page will be just outside of the stone path to the Beanstalk. Interact with it and collect the memory orb to see more of the story.
Head to the fast-travel well to find another sparkly page. Interact with it to receive another memory orb.
There will be another page at the left entrance to The Beanstalk Marshes. The last journal page in the area will be on the way to the bridge that connects The Beanstalk Marshes with Mount Olympus.
If you want to unlock the fast-travel well, it will cost 15,000 star coins. Remove some inkies in the area, particularly the ones blocking the stone path to the beanstalk.
Cross the path and enter Maleficent’s castle. Remove any inkies in the way to get to Maleficent. Talk to Maleficent once you reach her.
Find Maleficent’s Missing Furniture

Maleficent has been trying to enjoy some peace and quiet away from Hades and other people trying to steal from her, and causing general chaos in the castle. You’ll need to find the following missing furniture:
- Spinning Wheel
- Throne
There’s a pedestal in the room, and a podium with a scroll on it to the left. Remove the inkies surrounding that podium and read the scroll. Ahead of the fancy, round pedestal is a display area. All three walls of the display have shadows of Maleficent’s missing furniture.
First you’ll need to find the furniture. There’s a puzzle on the floor to get into the locked room on the left. You’ll need to explore the immediate area to find the clues to solve the puzzle.
Use the Royal Shovel to change the “?” tiles on the floor to the correct pictures. Once you have the correct ones selected the door should open.

Floor Tile Puzzle Answer

Enter the hallway you just opened for the Floor Tile Puzzle Door. You’ll progress into a room full of clues and a Larger Floor Tile Puzzle. Check the walls to see the clues, but pay special attention to the orientation of the puzzle clues on the walls.

Use your Royal Shovel again to change the tiles to match the clues around the room.
Large Floor Tile Puzzle Solution

What you’ll need is the chest on the platform. You should find Maleficent’s throne in the chest. Retrieve it and return to the previous room.
Next, you’ll need to look around the main area for a wheel to attach to the wheel stand in front of the other locked door. You may need to remove inkies that are blocking the wheel from being picked up.
Interact with the wheel stand to attach the wheel you found. Use the Royal Net to turn the wheel and open the door.

Remove inkies as you proceed into the new room. There are some bookcases you’ll also need to interact with to get to a secret room.
Look around the area for hints to solve the puzzle in the hidden room. You’ll have 4 pictures to set properly before you can retrieve the Spinning Wheel.
To set the picture, just approach the tile on the wall and use the interact button or key to spin the picture. Keep interacting until you receive the picture you need for the appropriate column.
The last clue is hidden. You’ll need to interact with a wheel stand in the room. Use the Royal Net to turn it. The last clue will appear once you interact with the wheel.
Wall Tile Puzzle Answer

Once you’ve obtained the Throne and Spinning Wheel, return to the main room. Interact with the round fancy pedestal and transfer the two pieces of furniture to the pedestal.
The furniture should show up in the display area, along with a few additional pieces of furniture.
Place All Of Maleficent’s Furniture

To put Maleficent’s furniture back where it’s supposed to be, use the shadow clues on all three sides to align the furniture. You’ll navigate to the Furniture section of your inventory menu to move the furniture around.
Once the furniture is placed properly you can pass through the portal to Maleficent’s throne room. After entering the throne room, you’ll need to catch Maleficent’s pets.
Use the Royal Net to catch Maleficent’s 3 snippet “pets”. They’re speedy so if you have food it will be helpful to make sure your energy bar is on yellow status to make you a bit faster.
Talk to Maleficent when you’re done rounding up her pets. There is also a green treasure chest to loot in the throne room before you leave. You’ll need to restore Mount Olympus now if you haven’t already.
