Friendship Island has plenty of quirks, one of which is that deliveries don’t seem to arrive normally. Most packages end up eventually delivered, but this time, My Melody’s stuff is still missing.
Continue the mystery of the missing shipment crates, and help My Melody recover her lost packages. It’s never dull searching for treasure, after all.
Prerequisites For The ‘Cursed Crates’ Quest
To get the ‘Cursed Crates’ quest you need to do the following:
Have access to Spooky Swamp.
Have Kuromi at friendship level 6 or higher.
Complete the ‘Deep Dive’ quest.
Complete the ‘Stray Shipments‘ quest.
You can check the status of this quest under the ‘Quests’ in the main menu. It will show up in the ‘Friendship Quests’ category.
Talk To Kuromi
To get the next part of the missing packages mystery, you’ll need to login at least 1 real-life day after completing the ‘Stray Shipments’ quest. Talk to Kuromi to get the ‘Cursed Crates’ quest started.
You and Kuromi will need to meet up with My Melody at the Resort Gate. Kuromi should automatically travel to the proper location. You can use the Resort Gate fast-travel waypoint to get there quickly, if you have it unlocked.
Talk to My Melody once you arrive. After a discussion, you’ll need to dive into Rainbow Reef to find 3 of My Melody’s missing packages.
There should be three areas showing on the map to indicate where you should search. The boxes are all lying on or near the seafloor, and are not hidden. They shouldn’t be too difficult to locate.

Once you’ve located all 3 crates, head to the Comedy Club. Talk to My Melody when you arrive. Kuromi is acting a bit distracted, and My Melody thinks she has something up her sleeve.
Wait another real-life day for the next quest, ‘Pirate Pearl’. Login the following day to continue the saga of the missing cargo shipments.
