The new Elderwood area in Palia has a host of new critters, plants, rocks, and even artifacts to discover. What do you do with the artifacts though? They should be handled with respect and used to study the past.
Luckily, Caleri and Elouisa have just the setup to help you get the artifacts into the right sort of hands. Learn how to find the latest collectibles.
Prerequisites For ‘Pieces Of The Past’
To get this quest, you’ll need to complete ‘The Nature of Shadows‘. You should receive an artifact at the end of the quest which will automatically give you the ‘Pieces of the Past’ quest.
You can check the status of this quest in the ‘Main Story’ tab under the ‘Quests’ section in the main menu. It should show up under the section marked ‘Guide’.
Talk To Villagers About The Artifact
You are able to ask a number of villagers about the artifact you received from the ‘Nature of Shadows’ quest. If you’d like to give Caleri a reason to leave the library, it might be great to ask her.
You’ll need to meet whichever “expert” you find at the Elderwood Central Stables. Talk to them to learn more about the artifact you found, and what you should do with it.

You’ll need to complete an artifact by donating all the pieces of it to the proper spot:
Ancient Artifacts
Umbraan Artifacts
Wartorn Artifacts
Each of these is a separate sort of “shrine” where you deposit artifact pieces. It’s similar to the Night Sky Temple vault bundles. You’ll be able to immediately submit the “Umbraan Thing” to the Umbraan Artifacts altar.
You’ll receive some “Elouisa’s Fun Bucks” as a reward, and the quest will update to a new objective. You’ll need to check the nearby booth with the yellow glow to unlock and view the Relic Store.
You’ll be able to purchase an item from the Relic Store with the rewards you received. Depending on what you choose to purchase, you may receive a related quest.
