Palia offers many things to do in the world, from farming and cooking to mining and exploring. Lately, Subira has enlisted your help to do some detective work and investigate the temples for signs of an intruder.
She has some idea who might be behind the temple disturbances, but she needs evidence to prove her suspicions. Help her by looking for clues in the Temple of the Roots.
Prerequisites For ‘Rooted In Place’
In order to continue your caper through all the temples in Kilima Village and Bahari Bay, you’ll need to do a few things first:
Complete ‘Up In The Air‘.
Complete ‘Into The Fire‘.
Complete ‘Troubled Waters‘.
You can check the status of the quest any time by visiting the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu.
Enter The Temple Of The Roots
Keep following the trail of the mysterious temple invader and enter the Temple of the Roots. Talk to Subira once you find her in the temple.
Take the flowgate to the hub, then use the flowgate to the Gardener. Chat with the console core again to see if you can gather any intel.
Talk with Subira, then place the Gardener’s hub somewhere in Bahari Bay with a view of the aqueduct. You’ll be able to see a marked location on your map for the spot to place the hub.

Interact with the hub once you place it. Next bring the Gardener’s hub to the Temple of the Gales.
From the main island, use the diagonal updraft at the large Silverwing nest but head to the left. There’s a small island with a windmill on it, and there should be sparkles to show you where to put the hub once you get there.

Interact with the hub again once it has been placed. The Gardener will assess the area, then ask you to place the hub in Kilima Village. You should be able to find the area in front of the Town Hall building.

Interact once the unit is placed and answer a few questions. Return the Gardener’s hub to him at the Temple of the Roots.
After you return the hub to the Gardener, talk to Subira. This will complete the quest. You may get a small cutscene when you return to Kilima Village.
