You’re hot on the trail of a mysterious temple invader in Palia. You’ve tracked them through the Temple of the Waves and it seems like the Temple of the Flames is next.
Find more clues and check the situation in the Temple of the Flames. You’ll be teaming up with Subira again to gain more intel on the situation.
Prerequisites For ‘Into The Fire’
To get the quest, ‘Into The Fire’, you’ll need to do the following:
Have Subira unlocked
Complete ‘Strange Things Afoot‘
Complete ‘Troubled Waters‘
You can check the quest status by viewing the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu.
Investigate The Temple Of The Flames
Inside the main hub of the Temple of the Flames, locate any sparkling objects and inspect them. There should be a set of sooty footprints near Subira to check.
Follow the direction of the footprints and continue to inspect them. Follow them up to a locked door with a fire symbol on it. There should be a couple tablets to read nearby.
Additionally there will be a spent runestone as well which could have helped the intruder fly. You, however, will need the key to open the door. You’ll have to fish it out of the lava-filled pipe with the fishing sign.
You won’t need to use any bait to fish up the quest key. Climb back up to the door and enter the new area.
This area is called the ‘Trial of Courage’. You’ll need to find a way past obstacles. Use the floating platforms to navigate the hallway.
As you ride the floating platform, shoot all the runes below the braziers to unlock the door at the end of the hallway.
After riding the floating platforms to the next room, use your pickaxe to break the crumbling wall. As you continue through the next hallway with floating platforms, you’ll need to alternate between firing arrows at the runes on braziers, and then using the pickaxe to break crumbling walls.
The last part of the hallway with floating platforms will need just the pickaxe, and you’ll need to actively avoid laser beams as the platforms travel.
Reach the console with the fire symbol and investigate it. Subira will follow you into the console room.
Talk to Subira after reading the logs from the console. This will complete the ‘Into The Fire’ quest, and teleport you out of the temple. The next stop is the Temple of the Gales with a quest titled, ‘Up In The Air’.
