My Melody is a resourceful and curious character, so it may not be surprising that she’s found an interesting container from the days when the island was a fully-functional theme park.
Her curiosity is piqued and she wants your help as she finds out more about the island. She’s been so busy, she probably hasn’t had much time to really see the island, but this is the perfect excuse.
Prerequisites For The ‘Picture Day’ Quest
To get My Melody’s ‘Picture Day’ quest, you’ll need to complete the following quests:
- Enraging Ruins
- Gudetama Snap
- Meet The Island Beings
You’ll also need to have access to the following areas:
- Spooky Swamp
- Gemstone Mountain
- Mount Hothead
- Rainbow Reef
My Melody will need to be at least friendship level 3 to get this quest.
Have flippers and mermaid ability.
Speak With My Melody To Begin ‘Picture Day’
To get the ‘Picture Day’ quest, just talk to My Melody. She should be in her shop unless you have unfinished quests with her.
She’ll explain that she found a box full of old photographs from before you all arrived at the island. She wants to look into the situation, so she decides to speak with one of the Nuls.
Head to the beach after speaking with My Melody again in the Resort Plaza. There will be a Nul in a special hat with a camera icon on it.
You’ll need to talk to the Nul to take a special beach photo. Talk to My Melody after you’ve taken the photo.
It’s now up to you to find more special photo op locations around the island. You’ll need to search the following places:
- Spooky Swamp
- Gemstone Mountain
- Mount Hothead
- Rainbow Reef
Search For Photo Op Locations
To find the photo op locations, you can check your map. You’ll see a little black hat with a white camera icon at the locations.
You can use the main Spooky Swamp fast-travel waypoint and head to the pumpkin house. There will be a Nul with a photo icon above its head.
Talk to the Nul and select My Melody from the list of Sanrio characters to invite. You can invite additional characters if you wish, but My Melody will need to be present at all locations.
| You technically do not need to take a picture to complete this quest. You will have to talk to the Nuls though, and invite My Melody so she can see the location you found. |
Travel to Gemstone Town with the fast-travel waypoint if you wish, then head southwest to reach the photo Nul. It will be at the fake house facades in front of the water tower by the pond.
To reach the photo op in Mount Hothead, it’s closest to use the Hot Springs fast-travel waypoint. Travel south to the bridge over the lava.
Talk to the Nul there, and invite My Melody for another picture. You may need to position the camera to be able to see any characters you invite at this location.
To find the Rainbow Reef photo op location, the best fast-travel waypoint to use is the Sunken Ship. Travel south and up to a ledge with two tall, pink corals. You should just be able to see the Sunken Ship in the distance.
The Rainbow Reef photo op location is the trickiest one to find, but if you follow the map icon you’ll be all set. Once you find the last location and invite My Melody, the quest will automatically complete.
