Friendships are important, and rewarding, in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. One of the cutest parts of having frienships with the loveable Sanrio Characters is the ability to celebrate their birthdays with them.
This time, you get to celebrate Tuxedosam’s birthday. May 12 is Tuxedosam’s official birthday. You know this celebration will be stylish, so be prepared to dress your best.
How To Get The Tuxedosam Birthday Quest
To get the Tuxedosam birthday quest, you need to talk to Tuxedosam himself. The quest is appropriately named ‘Dressed To The Nines‘.
Before you can start celebrating, you’ll need to help Tuxedosam out with his birthday plans. He wants to throw a fancy ball for his birthday, but he needs a venue.
You should never choose a venue without seeing it in person, so follow Tuxedosam to check out his options. Meet him in Gemstone Mountain first.
The Gemstone Town fast-travel waypoint is the closest one available. You’ll need to head to the Dance Hall once you get to Gemstone Mountain.
Talk to Tuxedosam once you meet him inside the Dance Hall. He’ll have you take a picture of the inside of the Dance Hall as a reference to look at later.
Talk to him again after you’ve taken a picture. Next, you’ll need to meet him at the Comedy Club. Use the Comedy Club fast-travel waypoint if you have it unlocked.

Talk to Tuxedosam once you arrive at the Comedy Club. He’ll have you take another picture. Talk to him again after you’ve taken the picture.
The next venue option he wants to check is Moon Island. There should be a fast-travel waypoint already there if you have it unlocked.
Talk to Tuxedosam after you arrive on Moon Island. It’s clear that Tuxedosam prefers Moon Island as the best celebration spot, but he doesn’t think there’s enough time to set up for a fancy party. This is your time to shine.

Unless you have an in-progress quest, My Melody should be in the Resort Plaza or inside her shop. My Melody will set you on the right track to throw a grand party.
Gather Birthday Celebration Supplies
When you speak with My Melody she knows just what you need to do. You’ll need to gather 3 rubber and 3 thread. Return to her and use the gift function to hand over the items.
Your next task is to talk with Chococat to find out what’s needed for fairy lights. Chococat should be at their tent by the Resort Gate unless you have an in-progress quest with them.
Chococat will need the following items to create fairy lights:
- 3 Sparks
- 3 Glow Berries
- 3 Ingots
| You’ll need 9 pieces of iron to craft 3 ingots, along with access to the ingot crafting recipe at a crafting bench. You’ll also need the spark crafting recipe, and 9 light stone to craft enough sparks. |
Once you’ve gathered and crafted all the necessary items, use the gift function to give them to Chococat. Now that Chococat can work on the lighting, you should check back in with Tuxedosam to see if he needs more help.
It seems like everything else is ready for the party, so now you just need to use the mirror in Tuxedosam’s shop to change into your fanciest clothing.
Talk to Tuxedosam once you’ve changed clothing. Before talking to Tuxedosam you could also find an oven and combine 1 flour with 1 Tuxedosam’s Decorating Kit to create a custom Tuxedosam cake.
You’ll receive a Tuxedosam Party Favor to prove you were at the celebration. You’ll also receive a crafting recipe for Tuxedosam Birthday Balloons.
To make the balloons, you’ll need 25 rubber, 5 iron, and 15 thread. The party favor, cake, and balloons can be placed in cabins as decorations. The cake can be given as a gift.
