Disney Dreamlight Valley is keeping content fresh by providing lots of events lately. As of this date the Garden of Whimsy Star Path is happening, but now we also have another event.
The new event in the valley is ‘The Cheshire Chaos Event’. It’s themed around the Cheshire Cat and runs from May 7, 2025 to May 20, 2025.
Prerequisites For ‘The Cheshire Cat Chaos’ Event
Most of the time, you can participate in events without worrying too much about special requirements. For this event, you’ll need to have the following done:
- Unlock Woody and Buzz Lightyear
- Unlock Nala and Simba
- Unlock Jasmine and Aladdin

Activities For The Cheshire Chaos Event
If you love collecting unique items in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll probably want to participate in this event. You’ll have a few ways to get involved and collect some rewards.
First of all, you can find the description of the event under the ‘Event’ section of the main menu. In that area, there will also be special duties just for ‘The Cheshire Chaos Event’.
There are 4 duties total:
- Calmer of Chaos
- Clean Your Room!
- Jungle Bungles
- More Than a Mirage
You’ll also need to be on the lookout for magenta ground cracks, called ‘Cheshire Cracks’ to dig. These will give special Cheshire Cat-themed memory orbs.
All biomes can have Cheshire Cracks. If you have a lot of decorations, you may want to remove some to ensure you have enough space to spawn Cheshire Cracks.
Cheshire Cracks should appear about every 15 minutes according to the Dreamlight Valley blog. A maximum of 5 Cheshire Cracks total can be present across all biomes at any given time.
Certain realms will have purple or magenta paw prints on the doors. There will be a different realm chosen each week. Marked realms will have more paw prints, or Cheshire-fied things inside.
You’ll need to clean up the Cheshire Cat’s paw prints in marked realms with your Royal Watering Can. Paw prints should spawn, according to the Dreamlight Valley blog, every 10 minutes. A maximum of 5 can be present at once.

When in doubt, check your in-game mail. You should receive hints at times to help you know what to do next in the event.
How To Complete The Cheshire Cat Chaos Duties
This event has some weekly rewards, which are connected to the 4 event duties. Here’s how to complete them to the best of our knowledge. If anything is different, we’ll update the information.
Clean Your Room–Remove 20 paw prints in the Toy Story realm during the week of May 7, 2025. This rewards the Rabbit Rocking Chair upon completion.
Jungle Bungles–Remove 20 paw prints in the Lion King realm. This will start May 11, 2025 and rewards the Rabbit Vanity.
More Than a Mirage–Remove 20 paw prints in the Agrabah realm. This will be the week of May 15th, 2025 and rewards the Rabbit Grandfather Clock.
Calmer of Chaos–This is rewarded after completing a Cheshire Cat memory. You’ll receive the Twisting Rabbit Mirror as a reward.
| Previous weeks’ realms will still be affected by Cheshire Cat paw prints. Try removing them to increase your odds of spawning more paw prints in your desired realm. |
The Cheshire Cat Chaos Event Rewards
There are a total of 4 special decor rewards to obtain from the event, in addition to the special memories to collect. The names of the rewards are:
- Twisting Rabbit Mirror
- Rabbit Rocking Chair
- Rabbit Vanity
- Rabbit Grandfather Clock
