Before you can bring the iconic mischievous Cheshire Cat to your valley, you’ll need to invite Alice. Once Alice has moved into your valley, you’ll be able to invite the Cheshire Cat.
As most conversations with the Cheshire Cat go, this one also becomes a little convoluted. You won’t get a straight answer from the Cheshire Cat, but you’ll find some clues that lead you to believe the Cheshire Cat is in the valley.
The first indication that the Cheshire Cat is in the valley is a set of magenta paw prints. After that, you may see some unusual situations around the valley.
Check on Scrooge’s Store
Check Scrooge McDuck’s shop and you should automatically receive a quest called ‘Mannequin Madness‘. Remove any debris piles littering the shop.
Once you’ve cleaned up the debris, talk to Scrooge. After some clues from Scrooge, it’s time to talk to the resident Cheshire Cat expert, Alice.
After chatting with Alice, agree to meet up with her in Scrooge’s store. Alice thinks you should take a closer look at the odd mannequin to see if anything peculiar happens.
Try to remove the mannequin, and any others that pop up until you receive a Pink and Purple Coupon. Bring the coupon to Scrooge McDuck.
Purchase Purple Cat Ears and Cheshire Cat Slippers from Scrooge McDuck. If you already have the items, the quest progress will show that you have one or both items.
Next, you’ll want to dress up in your new items. Talk to Alice after you change your clothes. This will complete the ‘Mannequin Madness’ quest.
Check Chez Remy
When you check in at Chez Remy, you may see more sets of magenta paw prints. You’ll also get another quest automatically. This one is called ‘Chaos In The Kitchen‘.
You’ll need to talk to Remy to see what he makes of these footprints all over his restaurant. Remove the paw prints, and check for more clues.
After removing the paw prints, you should find an open book somewhere near the countertop in Chez Remy. Once you pick it up, it will be in your inventory with the descriptor title of “Cheshire Cat Tail Recipe Book“.
Use the new recipe book from your inventory to learn a new dessert recipe. Cook the new Cheshire Cat Tail recipe.
Bring the new dessert to Remy. Afterward, you’ll need to check around the outside of the restaurant for any additional Cheshire Cat weirdness.
You’ll find some messes to clean up outside the restaurant. There should be a total of 3 messes to locate and remove.
Head back inside Chez Remy. The Cheshire Cat should make an appearance. Talk to him to find out what’s going on. Talk to Remy afterward to complete the quest.
Check Your Quest Logs
Eventually, you’ll automatically receive a quest called ‘Cat Tree Catastrophe’. This may take a while, and should become available after completing the ‘Chaos In The Kitchen’ quest.
The quest will show up in your quest log in the main menu. It tells you to speak with Moana to see why she seems distressed.
After you talk to Moana, follow her to her boat and then talk to her once again. She has a collection of magenta and purple catfish on her boat.
Take a picture of the Cheshire Catfish. Fish up 5 more Cheshire Catfish on Dazzle Beach. They’ll come from orange fishing ripple spots. Bring the fish to Alice.
Talk to Alice to hand over the Cheshire Catfish. She’ll suggest that you meet her in her house to discuss the situation further.
You’ll need to find the Cheshire Cat’s Mini Tree and take a picture of it. You don’t even need to leave Alice’s house to find it.
Cheshire Cat Mini Tree Solution
There is a picture of the Cheshire Cat’s tree in Alice’s bedroom. It’s on the wall with the large bookcase. It will be partially obscured.
Talk to the Cheshire Cat. Now you’re ready to put the Cheshire Cat’s tree in the valley, where you can keep an eye on him.
Once you’ve placed the Cheshire Cat’s tree wherever you want, you can talk to the Cheshire Cat again to complete the quest. He’s officially part of the valley, though he won’t have the normal elaborate “welcome”.
