The Hello Kitty Café is a familiar spot in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. You do your baking there until you’re able to craft your own oven. Various Sanrio characters visit the café during certain quests, and often compliment it randomly when you speak with them.
The oven isn’t the only useful piece of equipment in the café, though. There’s an espresso machine in the café, but sadly, it’s broken. The good news, is that you can get a quest to fix the machine which will make brewing drinks and making pastries a bit more convenient.
How To Get The Espresso Machine Repair Quest
To unlock the ‘Espresso Machine Repair’ quest you’ll need to meet certain requirements:
- Have Hangyodon at friendship level 11.
- Obtain Flippers.
- Obtain Diving Mask with Snorkel.
- Have access to the underwater area in Rainbow Reef.
- Obtain Mermaid outfit.
- Have access to Spooky Swamp (for Kuromi)
- Have Kuromi friendship at level 6.
Once requirements are met, you’ll have a quest available with Hello Kitty. She should be in her café, unless you have an unfinished quest with her.
Talk To Hangyodon
Many of the characters on the island have the willingness to help out, but it seems that Kuromi doesn’t exactly have the greatest track record with fixing appliances. Willingness can only take her so far.
Hello Kitty suggests that you speak with Hangyodon to see if he has any spare parts for the espresso machines. Hangyodon is happy to look, but he needs to wait for Keroppi who can unlock the cabinet at the Comedy Club.
While you wait for Keroppi, Hangyodon is hoping to get some feedback from you about his latest jokes. Keroppi will have a quest for you once he arrives and is ready to unlock the cabinet.
Find The Sunken Ship
The next step in this quest is to find the Sunken Ship. You’ll be able to follow Keroppi and Badtz-Maru to the ship, use the coffee cup quest marker, or if you’ve already unlocked the fast-travel waypoint, you can teleport straight to it.
The Sunken Ship area has chocolate coins you can gather while you’re in the area, and a dungeon inside the ship will allow you to quickly regain your oxygen without having to swim to the surface while you export the area.
You’ll need to find a toolbox which will be toward the prow of the ship. It will have a quest exclamation point to help you locate it.
Talk To Hello Kitty
Once you’ve found the toolbox, you have the spare espresso machine parts. You’ll need to return to the Hello Kitty Café and talk to Hello Kitty to automatically give her the parts.
After that, you’ll receive some ingredients and it’s your job to test the newly-repaired espresso machine. Brew a cup of coffee and hand it over to Kuromi for the taste test.
Once you deliver the cup of coffee to Kuromi and progress through the dialogue, the quest is complete. The Hello Kitty Café espresso machine is ready for business.
