Enjoy some treats in Disney Dreamlight Valley with some ‘Trick-Or-Treat’ event fun. This limited-time event will run from October 14th, 2026 through October 31st, 2026.
There’s no shortage of fun during October in the valley. You’ll also be able to work on the Haunted Elegance Star Path, visit ‘The Haunted Floating Festival’ island, and meet with Oogie Boogie.

How To Participate In The 2026 ‘Trick-Or-Treat’ Event
To participate in the ‘Trick-Or-Treat’ event in Disney Dreamlight Valley you’ll need to keep an eye out on your valley. Here’s what you’ll be able to do:
- Collect different colored candy buckets.
- Trick-or-treat at villager houses that have Jack-o-lanterns out front.
- Eat tons of candy.
- Share candy with your villager friends.
- Complete event duties.
- Craft Halloween-themed items.
You can check the event duties, and the possible rewards by visiting the ‘Event’ section of the main menu.
Trick-Or-Treat Event Duties (2026)
There are 2 new Event Duties available for the ‘Trick-Or-Treat’ event. If you need help with previous years’ duties or how to get the Haunted Well, check the 2025 event guide.

You’ll be able to Trick-Or-Treat at the houses with Jack-O-Lanterns out front 1 time per day. Once you’ve Trick-Or-Treated at a house, the Jack-O-Lantern light will go out.
To Trick-Or-Treat, interact with the lit Jack-O-Lantern outside a villager’s house. You’ll receive 5 of each color candy.
The duties will show up in the normal Dreamlight duties section once they are complete, so be sure to collect those completed duties to get the crafting recipe rewards.
These rewards will be recipe books that appear in your inventory. You won’t be able to collect them if your inventory is full.
Use the recipe books from your inventory to learn the crafting recipes. You can find them under the ‘Event’ category in the crafting interface or the ‘All’ category which looks like an infinity symbol.
How Often Can You Get Candy For The ‘Trick-Or-Treat’ Event?
You can collect 2 candy bowls of each color every 24 hours. On October 31st, the rates will change to 2 candy bowls of each color every hour.
| Since you can only have 5 candy bowls in your valley at a time, make sure to pick them up when you see them so more can spawn at the daily reset time. |
There are 3 colors of candy buckets:
- Red
- Purple
- Green
Each candy bowl will give you 2 of that colored candy. You’ll need the candy to craft the recipes you get from completing event duties, so don’t eat it all if you want to craft some Halloween Town recipes.
