Scrooge is experiencing an interesting phenomenon in his shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley and he needs your help to investigate. Scrooge still has a shop to run and can’t exactly dedicate time to a mysterious mirror.
Find out what’s happening at Scrooge’s shop, and try to keep any chaos to a minimum. It is the season of tricks, after all. You never know what might happen in the valley.

Prerequisites For The ‘A Halloween Invasion’ Quest
To get the ‘A Halloween Invasion’ quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will need to do the following:
- Have access to Scrooge McDuck.
- Have Scrooge’s Store established.
- Have Remy living in the valley.
- Have Chez Remy established.
- Unlock the Peaceful Meadow.
Once you have the quest, you can check its status any time in the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu. It will appear with an icon similar to a starburst instead of any particular character icon.
Talk To Scrooge McDuck
To get the quest, just talk to Scrooge McDuck inside his shop once you’ve met the prerequisites. He has noticed something mysterious with one of his store’s objects.
There’s a mirror which appears to be causing him some frustration. It’s on the main floor of Scrooge’s shop by Scrooge’s safe.
Interact with the mirror to investigate it. You’ll need to interact with it once more to venture through the mirror.
The quest will update with Oogie Boogie’s character icon in the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu. Once you enter the mirror, talk to Oogie Boogie.
Interact with Oogie Boogie’s Lucky Wheel. Talk to Oogie Boogie afterward. Follow Oogie Boogie to the Whack-A-Pumpkin spot.
| If you encounter errors with Oogie Boogie leaving the Whack-A-Pumpkin spot, try leaving the mirror realm and re-entering. He should appear in the proper spot. |
Talk to Oogie Boogie once he’s at the Whack-A-Pumpkin area with a quest marker above his head. Equip your Royal Pickaxe and then interact with the stacked dice blocks to begin the game.
You’ll need to play the game enough times until you do the following:
- Collect 10 fear Essence.
- Smash at least 10 pumpkins.
Once you’ve met those requirements, you can talk to Oogie Boogie. Try interacting with the Lucky Wheel again.
Talk to Oogie Boogie about the results of spinning the Lucky Wheel. Leave the mirror realm and clean up the Halloween Curse.
You’ll need to:
- Remove 3 Oogie Boogie bugs from Mickey Mouse’s house.
- Remove 4 Oogie Boogie bugs from Goofy’s house.
- Remove 8 Sweet or Spooky Pumpkins from the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow.
- Gather 20 Fear Essence.
The Sweet and Spooky Pumpkins won’t appear until you’ve taken care of the Oogie Boogie bugs first. Use your Royal Pickaxe to remove the special pumpkins.
Once you’ve completed all the tasks listed above, return to Scrooge’s shop and enter the mirror again. Talk to Oogie Boogie once he has a quest marker above his head.
You’ll give him the Fear Essence you collected. Interact with the Lucky Wheel again. Open the treasure chest that appears to collect a reward.
Lucky Wheel Reward
Oogie Boogie’s Lair Skeletons
Once you’ve collected the reward, the quest will complete. You can still continue to play the Whack-A-Pumpkin game if you want.
