Moonlight Peaks starts the game with a bit of intrigue: you’ve clearly disagreed with your parents and have decided to move out, or as the game calls it “run away”. You’re heading to an old family property to live your life.
It’s not surprising that the farm will need some work, but you may be surprised by your first quest. There are some interesting characters who need, or rather demand, your assistance.
Prerequisites For The ‘Orlock’s Wine Scheme’ Quest

This is one of the first quests you’ll get when you start a file in the Moonlight Peaks game. You’ll need to do the following to get the quest:
- Run away from home.
- Sleep one night at the new place.
- Leave your new home in the morning.
You’ll need to wake the sleeping individual in front of your home. Poke him, or pour water on him until he wakes up.
He will then give you the quest during your conversation. You can check your ‘Quest Log’ to keep track of what you need to do to complete the quest.
Find Viktor

Orlock wants you to make him some wine, and suggests you find Viktor who lives on your family’s land in Moonlight Peaks. Head west across the bridge until you reach a small stone building.
Enter the building, which is Viktor’s crypt, and talk to the bat inside. You can then ask Viktor any of the following questions:
- How do I prepare the soil?
- How do I plant?
- How do I water my crops?
Once you have all the information you want, you can select “I’m good” to exit the conversation. Viktor will explain how to equip your tools and use them to farm.
Deliver Red Wine To Orlock

Orlock should have given you 6 Blood Grape Seeds. You can find them in your inventory.
Use your shovel to dig a planting area for the Blood Grapes. These will have trellises automatically when you plant them.
Keep that in mind if you want additional space, although you will be able to walk through the rows just fine even if you plant them right next to each other.
Make sure to water any crops each evening. The Blood Grapes will take 5 days to grow, possibly more if you forget to water them.
Once the grapes have grown a little, Orlock will come to your farm to check on their status. He’ll also give you a blueprint to build a Keg.
The blueprint will unlock multiple Keg-related recipes that you can check in the Recipe section of your main menu, in the Almanac. You should already have a Workbench inside your house.
Interact with the Workbench to find the crafting recipe for the Keg. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 20 Wood
Once you’ve gathered sufficient wood, you can interact with the Workbench to build the Keg. Place the Keg somewhere on your farm.
Access your inventory, and select the Keg. You should have an option to Place the Keg.
You’ll need a spot free from grass, rocks and trees to place the Keg. Once you’ve selected to ‘Place’ the Keg, you’ll see the actual Keg and can move it around freely to find a good spot before you confirm the placement.
The outline at the base of the Keg will be red if there are items in the way, and blue if you can freely place it. Once your grapes have grown, interact with the Keg to make Red Wine.
Red Wine takes 4 Blood Grapes to make. The wine should be ready in about 2-3 days (nights).
Once the wine is done, talk to Orlock to deliver 1 bottle to him. The quest will complete and you’ll get a couple Wine Rack crafting recipes as rewards.
