Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life-simulator cozy game. You can cook, fish, farm, mine, craft, decorate, and socialize.
There are some relatively hidden things in the game, though, one of which is the Vitalys Mines. It can be confusing, especially as a new player, when you need to find the mine.
Prerequisites To Access Vitalys Crystal Mines
While there are many places to mine throughout Dreamlight Valley, the Vitalys Mines are a little different. Before you can access them you’ll need to unlock the Sunlit Plateau. You may also need to have unlocked the quest ‘Nature And Nurture’, though you can access the mines without completing the quest.
This mine is the only place you can obtain Vitalys Crystals, which are used in the ever-helpful potions and elixirs. These potions are great for obtaining rare fish, more gems while mining, and more goodies when digging, or even instantly growing crops.
Obtaining The Vitalys Crystals
To enter the Vitalys Crystal Mines approach the shadowy opening beneath the waterfall in the Sunlit Plateau. Once you are near enough, you’ll see the option to ‘Enter’.
The mines are a little bit of a maze, but as you explore you’ll find similar mining nodes to the rest of Dreamlight Valley. These, however, will have blue-ish streaks on the nodes.
You can find the following items when mining these nodes:
- Vitalys Crystals
- Rubies
- Sapphires
- Onyx
- Gold
- Iron Ore
- Stone
- Coal Ore
You can also generate memory orbs while mining in the Vitalys Crystal Mines.
Using Vitalys Crystals
Potions and elixirs are the main uses for the crystals, although changes can always happen to the game in the future. Here is the list of the items you can craft:
- Miracle Growth Elixir
- Even More Miraculous Growth Elixir
- Miracle Pickaxe Polish
- Even More Miraculous Pickaxe Polish
- Miracle Fishing Bait
- Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait
- Miracle Shovel Varnish
- Even More Miraculous Shovel Varnish
Potions and elixirs with “Even More” in the title just last longer than the original counterparts. They provide the same effects otherwise.
