After solving the sliding puzzle during the ‘Secret Depths’ quest, you likely received a cutscene. Einar sensed that something significant occurred and wants to meet you at the vault.
Explore the new changes to the vault with this short quest. Find out what the new Vault of Roots needs for completion as well.
Prerequisites For ‘Vault Of The Roots’ Quest
To unlock the ‘Vault Of The Roots’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
Complete ‘Keeper Of Roots’ quest.
Complete ‘Secret Depths‘ quest.
Upon finishing the ‘Secret Depths’ quest, you’ll automatically receive the ‘Vault of the Roots’ quest. You can check the status of the quest any time in the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu.
Talk To Einar At The Ruins
The descriptor for this quest is confusing since there are two sets of ruins near Hekla’s tent. You’ll want to visit the vault ruins to speak with Einar.
Once you speak with Einar, he’ll recommend talking to Jina to see if she knows anything about the staff that has appeared.
You won’t be able to retrieve the staff. You will, however, be able to interact with the Vault of Roots section. The door that has been closed inside the vault will also now reveal an open hallway.
Einar will give you a Rootseeker Medallion at the completion of this quest. Interact with the new Vault of Roots to see the offerings you’ll need to provide.
