Palia is a cozy game with charming characters to befriend, along with its own culture and history. As the only human in Kilima Village, you’re a bit of an anomaly.
Unraveling the murky history involving ancient humans is quite the task, but the overseer stations may provide some clues about what happened.
Prerequisites For ‘Keeper Of Waves’
To unlock the ‘Keeper Of Waves’ quest in Palia, you’ll need to do the following:
- Progress with main story quests.
- Complete the ‘Eye Of The Storm’ quest.
You can check the status of the quest through the ‘Quests’ section of the main menu. Upon completing the ‘Eye Of The Storm’, you’ll receive three “Keeper” quests which can be completed in any order you choose.
Ask Around The Village
Einar has received a transmission from a lost Galdur. To help the Galdur, he needs you to ask around for information about an Overseer station that’s tied to Hydroflow.
You’ll need to talk to Hekla to see if she knows anything about the Overseer station. Then you’ll need to search the area around the Mirror Pond Ruins.
The map should have a yellow zone circled to indicate the area you should search.

After you locate the Overseer station, you’ll see a trapdoor entrance to a mysterious tunnel. Enter the tunnel to continue the quest.
Find A Way To Override The Lockdown Protocol
To override the lockdown protocol that was put in place, you’ll need to read the various writings around the room. There are a total of three tablets to read.
Speak with the small automaton beneath the Phoenix statue, and enter the 4-letter login codename.

Once you’re successfully logged in, you’ll have multiple options to select. You can check the status of the temple, as well as a number of messages sent to Galen.
Once you’ve read anything you want in the menu, select the “Garden Lockdown Protocol” option. Next, choose “Disengage”. This will override the lockdown and complete the quest.
