In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you get to eventually be besties with all the main characters who arrived on the island with you. Hangyodon is one of those characters.
Hangyodon’s domain is Rainbow Reef, and he cares about its cleanliness. Picking up trash helps him out, but you also get goodies when you use the Recycling Plant. It’s a win-win, but he may have an even better idea to make both your lives easier.
Prerequisites For The ‘Trashy Treasure Trove’ Quest
To get this quest, you’ll need to have the following:
Have access to flippers.
Have access to mermaid tail.
Have Hangyodon at friendship level 15 (max level).
Complete ‘Reef Revival‘ quest.
You can check the status of this quest in your ‘Active Quests’ menu. It will show up under the ‘Friendship Quests’ section.
Talk To Hangyodon
To get this quest started, talk to Hangyodon. He can usually be found inside the Comedy Club in Rainbow Reef.
Hangyodon knows that you’ve been collecting the trash that ends up in Rainbow Reef, but you’re only one person. He’s wishing there was a faster way to collect the trash.
He’s got an idea that might do the trick, but he needs your help. Collect 5 Glowberries and deliver them with the gift function. Hangyodon might move to the Coffee Machine inside the Comedy Club if he’s not in front of the stage.
Once you give him the glowberries, he’ll show you the solution he’s created. You’ll be able to interact with the trash bin inside the Comedy Club. The bin will automatically collect all the trash in the area when you interact with it.
He’ll also give you the crafting recipe so you can make one of your own and display it in your home or other cabins. To craft your own Hangyodon Bestie Bin, you’ll need:
- 1 Ingot
- 5 Box Clams
- 1 Piece of Trash
When you place one of these in your cabin, it will be decoration only. You won’t be able to collect trash by interacting with it.
