There’s more to Friendship Island than anyone thought at first. A whole new area is available to explore above the island.
Best of all, perhaps, are the two new friends you’ve made in the dreamy Cloud Island zone. Kiki and Lala have hinted that things are little odd in Cloud Island, but you’ll have to get to know them better to learn more.
Prerequisites For The ‘Icy Recovery’ Quest
To get this quest, you’ll need to do the following:
Complete ‘A Challenging Rescue‘ quest.
Complete ‘Stargazing‘ quest.
Have Lala at friendship level 1 or above.
As soon as you become friends with Lala, meaning you reach friendship level 1, you will have a quest available. The ‘Icy Recovery’ quest will show up in your quest log in ‘The Island Mystery’ section.
Lala will move to an area just north of the Cloud Island Plaza fast-travel waypoint once she has the quest available for you. Check near the waypoint if she isn’t in her usual spot.
Talk To Lala
When you talk to Lala to begin the quest, she’ll reveal that she dropped her Magic Wand somewhere on Icy Peak. Without her wand, she and Kiki cannot leave Cloud Island.
They’ll need you to recover the wand from Icy Peak. The search zone will be marked on the map with an icon of the wand, rather than the usual circle.
When you reach the area, there will be a cave entrance with a blue exclamation point over it. Head inside to continue the search for Lala’s Magic wand.
Once you’re inside the cave, you’ll have a red circle search zone marked on the map to indicate the search area. You do NOT need to search the water.
The wand should be visible if you walk around the icy ground areas, but you will probably need to cross the water to see it. It’ll also be marked with a blue exclamation point.
Return to Lala and use the gift function to give her Magic Want back. The Cloud Island Plaza waypoint will be the closest one to Lala’s location.
Lala will be able to fix some of the broken areas around Cloud Island and will unlock a shop full of ‘Dreamy’ themed items. You’ll need Stardust and certain other items such as fabric to trade, depending on the type of item you purchase. This will finish the quest.
