Hello Kitty Island Adventure is full of areas to explore, some of which are challenging to reach, and others that are completely hidden. The ‘Curiouser And Curiouser’ quest takes place in a hidden area.
You’ll want to check the prerequisites for the quest to make sure you’ve been to the area if you don’t already have this quest. There are a few things you’d need to tackle first in order to get this quest.
Rerequisites For Curiouser And Curiouser Quest
To get the Curiouser And Curiouser quest, you’ll first need to do a few things. You’ll need to have access to the following areas, and/or items:
- Rainbow Reef (underwater).
- Mount Hothead.
- Gemstone Mountain area.
- Spooky Swamp area.
- Merry Meadows area.
- Have access to the crafting bench.
- Have access to the critter-catching net.
You’ll also need to complete the ‘Lost Keepsake’ quest.

Talk To Chococat
When you turn in the Lost Keepsake to Chococat, you’ll be able to receive the Curiouser And Curiouser quest after the dialogue. From there, you’ll need to chat with a bunch of Sanrio characters to find out what to give the mystery friend.
Speak to the following characters:
- My Melody
- Retsuko
- Badtz-Maru
- Hangyodon
Gather Or Craft The Gifts
It’s time to take the suggestions from your Sanrio friends into consideration and prepare gifts for this mysterious new person.
You’ll need the following gifts:
- Tropical Music Box
- Sakura Pudding
- Pineapple Pizza
- Rockadoodler
- Book of Ancient Inventions
Use the gifting function to hand everything over to Chococat. Next, you’ll need to meet him in the Merry Meadow. You can use the Merry Meadows Fields fast-travel waypoint to reach your destination.
You’ll need to search Merry Meadow, don’t worry, there will be a blue exclamation point nearby. You’ll find someone you already know, but the elusive new friend is nowhere to be found.
The quest will complete, but Chococat will explain that you’ll need to wait a while before meeting the new island buddy. Check your Active Quests the next day for ‘A Long Awaited Introduction‘.
