Hello Kitty Island Adventure is full of interesting critters. Not only are there colorful insects to capture, but Pekkle has noticed there are Rockadoodlers around the Gemstone Mountain area.
Rockadoodlers looks like chickens, but they apparently have an affinity for music. You’ll need to capture these speedy critters to help Pekkle with his plan.
Prerequisites For Rockadoodler Roundup
You’ll need to have a few things done before you’ll be able to get the Rockadoodler Roundup quest:
- Have Pekkle at friendship level 8.
- Complete ‘Bring Back The Swing’ friendship quest from Pekkle.
- You’ll need to have access to Spooky Swamp.
- Have Keroppi at friendship level 2 or better to get a net.
How To Capture Rockadoodlers
Rockadoodlers are pretty fast, so you’ll want to make sure your net is equipped in the tool menu. Rockadoodlers can only be found in the Gemstone Mountain area.
The best places to find Rockadoodlers within Gemstone Mountain are the Gemstone Town area and Gemstone Corral area. You’ll only find them during the day, and you’ll have the best luck in the morning.
If you want to improve your odds at catching a Rockadoodler, you can also have Keroppi tag along if you’ve leveled his friendship enough to get the Critter Calmer ability for him. You’ll unlock that at friendship level 6.
You’ll need to capture a total of 6 Rockadoodlers to finish the quest. Once you have them, return to Pekkle and use the gift function to give them to him.
Completing this quest will unlock a new minigame. You’ll receive a game ticket as a reward.
Rockadoodle Roundup MiniGame
To play the Rockadoodle Roundup minigame, pay the Nul at the entrance one game ticket.
You’ll have one minute to catch as many Rockadoodlers as you can. They’ll be outside the corral area, as well as inside.
If you stand a bit southwest of the entrance you’ll be in a good position to catch many of the Rockadoodlers that zip by and you won’t need to run much.
You can use a Speedy Walking Potion for an extra boost to make catching the Rockadoodler easier.
Check the information board next to the game to find out what the rewards are. You can obtain items such as music disks, eggs, and comic books.
