Disney Dreamlight Valley has been teasing us with a few details about their latest update to the game, The Tales of Agrabah. There’s plenty to look forward to, and if you haven’t been seeing news about their update…it might be arriving sooner than you think.
First of all, yes, we have a release date for The Tales of Agrabah. It’s scheduled to arrive on February 26, 2025 and best of all, it’s a FREE update! It’s just around the corner, so now that we have the date, let’s take a closer look at the details.
The Big News
The big news with The Tales of Agrabah are the following new content updates we can expect. Most of these are confirmed, but ones marked as “possibly” are derived from images, or need further clarification.
- A whole new realm.
- We’ll be able to invite Aladdin and Jasmine to the valley.
- New Flying Carpet companion.
- Stall that sells gemstones.
- New Star Path: Oasis Retreat.
- New furniture and decorations.
- New capybara companion with house and bath.
- More floating islands: 4 additional islands.
- Possibly a new game mechanic involved with “Wishful Thinking”.
- Possibly a Flying Magic Carpet “glider” to use around the valley.
Quality of Life Improvements
Disney and Gameloft are proving they are listening to the community, and it’s heartening to see this reflected in the teased quality-of-life improvements. Here’s what we can expect:
- A searchbar added to the cooking menu!
- Search recipes using ingredient filters.
- New sorting tabs in the cooking menu, including favorites.
- New slow-cooker from Tiana to make multiple meals at a time.
- Highlighting an item in inventory will show the location where the item can be obtained.
- Villager gifts will be marked in inventory with a giftbox icon.
- Pin up to 2 premium shop items so you don’t miss out on something when the shop rotates.
- Create custom room sizes in your home.
Some of these changes will require Dreamlight to activate, so if you’re a little low on Dreamlight, now’s a good time to earn some before the update drops on February 26th.
