Disney Dreamlight Valley boasts a multitude of fish. Some fish you can find in multiple areas, but others are more rare.
Piranha can be found in only one area, and fishing them up will probably take a fair amount of patience as well. Find out what you need to do before you can acquire Piranha.
Prerequisites
If you’re excited to get your hands safely on a Piranha, you’ll have to meet a few prerequisites first.
- You will need to purchase the expansion, “A Rift in Time”.
- Complete the quest “Secrets of Eternity Isle”.
- You will need to have the following areas unlocked/accessible:
- Ancient Landing (The Docks, The Courtyard)
- Wild Tangle (The Grasslands, The Grove, The Lagoon)
| To unlock the areas in the “A Rift in Time” expansion, Dreamlight won’t work. You’ll need to earn Mist by completing Mist Duties and other activities. |
Where to Fish For Piranha
You will need to get to The Lagoon to be able to fish for Piranha. Additionally, Piranha come from orange ripples.
Orange ripples can be few and far between, so our recommendation if you want to catch more than one is to take advantage of the potions available in the game. Use Miracle Fishing Bait or Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait potion to make your fishing trip worthwhile.
The special bait potions will allow you transform any white fishing ripples into orange fishing ripples so you’ll be more likely to acquire Piranha when fishing. Special fishing outfit is optional.
