Lady has some unfinished business she wants to take care of before you welcome her to Disney Dreamlight Valley. Return to the Lady and the Tramp realm to find out what’s keeping her from joining Tramp in the valley.
Lady may need more help to complete another task in the Lady and the Tramp realm. Find out what she wants to do, and help her complete her task so she can join Tramp.
Prerequisites For The ‘Critters And Compassion’ Quest
To get the ‘Critter and Compassion’ quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to do the following:
- Unlock the Lady and the Tramp realm.
- Complete the ‘Canine Courtship‘ quest.
- Complete ‘The Jailbreak‘ quest.
- Complete the ‘Meatballs‘ quest.
- Have the Substitute Snout equipped.
You can check the status of the quest in the main menu ‘Quests’ section. The quest will show a Lady icon.
Talk To Lady
To get the quest started, you’ll need to talk to Lady. You should be able to find her waiting behind Tony’s restaurant in the Lady and the Tramp realm.
Once you talk to Lady, you’ll need to solve a special puzzle memory orb. Interact with the orb to view the puzzle.
Select a puzzle piece, rotate it if needed, and put it in the proper outlined spot. Once the puzzle is complete, talk to Lady.
| If you didn’t view a special note in the pound previously about digging up special dog bone spots in the realm, you’ll can locate the letter in the pound. |
If you viewed the note from the pound about digging up dog bone spots, you’ll need a total of 8 Key Fragments. You can bring these with you to the pound if you have the pieces.
Interact with the entrance by the ladder at the pound. Meet with Lady and talk to her about a critter rescue plan.
Use the in-game camera to take a picture of the lock on the cell door. Talk to Lady to show her the picture.
Use the exit in Lady’s old cell to leave the pound. Talk to Lady about the next steps of finding suitable key materials.
You’ll need to collect the following 5 Giant Cheeses:
- Massive Mozzarella
- Gorgeous Gorgonzola
- Perfect Parmesan
- Fabulous Fontina
- Astounding Asiago
The cheese will be lying on the streets and alleys of the realm, and will have sparkles when you get close enough to them. Interact to collect the cheeses.
Once you have all the cheeses, use the Cooking Station behind Tony’s restaurant to make Magical Melted Cheese. Talk to Lady to see if she had any luck finding metal scraps.
| You may need to push Lady to a different location to be able to talk to her. You can simply walk into her and keep walking to shove her to suitable location where the “talk” option appears. |
Visit the Crafting Station in the area and interact to combine the Magical Melted Cheese with the Metal Parts Lady gave you. You’ll find the Cheese Key recipe on the ‘Functional Items’ section of the crafting recipes.
Go back to the pound and talk to Lady again once you meet with her inside the pound. Interact with the locked door and use the Cheese Key.
Follow Lady into the cell, and talk to her once the quest objective updates. Investigate the dog bed at the back of the kennel.
Talk to Lady about the dog bed. Before you leave the pound, you can use the Crafting Station to make a Secret Kennel Key. You’ll find the recipe in the ‘Functional Items’ section of crafting recipes.
You can use the Secret Kennel Key to get into the remaining locked cell across from Lady’s old cell. There should be a green chest to loot at the back of the room.
Use the exit in Lady’s old cell to leave the pound. Follow the purple scent clouds to lead Lady to the realm exit.
Use your Royal Pickaxe to remove noodle obstacles. Meet Lady at the realm exit and talk to her to see if she’s ready to go to the valley.
Leave the realm and welcome Lady into Dreamlight Valley. Talk to Lady to complete the quest.
