Disney Dreamlight Valley allows you to have a valley full of your favorite characters, and certainly some of the most memorable ones. Alice has always been interesting in her way, and today she needs your help with something.
She has found a letter she left for her future self. It’s written in poems and riddles. Help her track down the clues and find the treasure.
Prerequisites For The ‘Mimsy Were The Borogoves’
Before you can get the ‘Mimsy Were The Borogoves’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Unlock Alice.
- Unlock and progress with Merlin.
- Unlock and progress with Anna.
- Unlock the Forest of Valor.
- Unlock Dazzle Beach.
- Have Alice at friendship level 4 or higher.
You can check the status of the quest in the main menu ‘Quests’ section. It will show up with an Alice icon.
Talk To Alice
To begin the ‘Mimsy Were The Borogoves’ quest, talk to Alice. She’s discovered a note from her past self.
Alice’s Poem
Long ago, I hid a treasure,
And not to forget, I penned these clues:
Find a place of sunbaked pleasure,
Where one can gaze on watery views.
Tally-ho! Alice, sharpen your gaze!
Bordering the Glade, all the days,
A bottle shall tell the next phase.
Search Dazzle Beach for a bottle buried in the sand. Use the Royal Shovel to dig it up. Return to Alice and talk to her to show her the bottle.
Alice’s Bottle Poem
Brave Alice, continue – the path stretches on!
In a dark cavern alit with mystic lights,
Wait the colorful Mome Raths, each one withdrawn.
So beware, for they do guard the site,
Of the next clue, which is carefully hidden.
Yet step not on the Mome Raths – ’tis forbidden!
If you need to hear the poem again you can talk to Alice and select the quest title which should say ‘what should I do?’ underneath the title.
Venture to the mystical cave on Dazzle Beach. Talk to Alice once you encounter the Mome Raths. She will automatically follow you for this.
Water each section of false Mome Raths with the Royal Watering Can while making your way to the bottom of the cave. You can then pass through the flowers without issue.
At the bottom of the mystical cave there should be orange/gold fishing ripples. Fish the bottle out of the ripples with the Royal Fishing Pole.
Once you’ve fished up the bottle, talk to Alice to show her the new poem bottle for the next clue.
Alice’s Second Poem Bottle
Hold fast , Alice; your quest nears its end.
Next find the monstrous guard.
Rise to the sky and around the bend.
Look to a wooded yard.
Fearsome Jabberwock, friend of dark, holds
your treasure in a house of bark!
Leave the mystical cave and head for the Forest of Valor. You won’t need to water the fake Mome Rath flowers on your way out.
The quest should update to a new objective. You’ll need to approach the Jabberwock’s lair. Follow Alice to find the lair.
You’ll need to craft 6 Wonderland Candles to convince the Jabberwock to leave the log. Collect and/or craft the following materials:
- 3 Tinkering Parts
- 6 Glass
- 9 Coal Ore
- 10 Red Bell Flowers
- 12 Yellow Daisies
When you have all the necessary materials, visit any crafting station. Interact with it and navigate to the ‘Furniture’ tab in the crafting menu.
Select the Wonderland Candle, which should appear at the top of the list. Once you select the candle, it should automatically set the quantity to 6 for you.
Just craft and then return to the Jabberwock’s lair, the hollow log. Use the ‘Furniture’ mode from your inventory to decorate around the lair with all 6 candles.
You’ll see an icon of Alice at the top of the crafting menu which will be a shortcut to help you find the candles easily. Once the candles are placed and the quest updates, you can check the log for Alice’s treasure.
Interact with the log to open the storage. Take Alice’s Kaleidoscope from the storage. Talk to Alice to give her the treasure. This will complete the quest.
