9–13 minutes

The leader of the Lost Boys has been stranded in Skull Rock for a long time. He’s probably doing fine though, since his imagination is well-honed.

Brave Skull Rock to see what mysteries it may hold, and to see if you can convince Peter Pan to join the valley. You’ll have to prove that you’re not boring first.

Prerequisites For Peter Pan

Before you can invite Peter Pan to your valley, you’ll need to achieve a few things first:

Have access to Dazzle Beach.

Complete main storyline for the base game.

Have access to The Forgotten.

Once you’ve met all the requirements, you should have a quest from The Forgotten.

Talk To The Forgotten

Disney Dreamlight Valley avatar speaking to The Forgotten about a feather they found.

To begin the quest, you’ll need to talk to The Forgotten. After the dialogue, be prepared to follow them to Skull Rock.

Talk to The Forgotten again once you reach the entrance to Skull Rock. You’ll have a chance to give The Forgotten a real name, so make sure you have one prepared.

The game will give you a few predetermined names, but also the option to give a custom one to The Forgotten. Once you choose a new name for The Forgotten, you’ll be able to welcome them officially to the valley.

Shadows On The Wall

Disney Dreamlight Valley avatar inside Skull Rock For the Shadows On The Walls quest.

You’ll need to head back to Skull Rock. A small cutscene will play when you try to enter Skull Rock. Talk to The Forgotten once you’re inside.

It’s a good idea to have plenty of empty slots in your inventory before you enter Skull Rock if you don’t want to have to leave in the middle of your exploration.

Once you’re inside Skull Rock, you’ll notice pieces of paper tacked up in various spots. These will have clues about what you should do, so it’s a good idea to read them.

The Forgotten will dash ahead of you further into the cave. Talk to them again once you catch up. Search the area near The Forgotten. You’ll find a sparkling spot you can dig up with the Royal Shovel.

You should receive something that resembles a lantern. Your quest, ‘Shadows On The Wall‘, should tell you to talk to The Forgotten again if you found the proper item.

You’ll need to find and repair lanterns, so to do that you’ll need to collect:

3 Broken Lanterns (inside Skull Rock)

3 Gold Ingots

9 Glass

9 Vitalys Crystals

The other 2 Broken Lanterns can be found by fishing in orange ripples at the dock near the Skull Rock entrance/exit. Check both sides of the dock for fishing ripples.

Next, catch 3 Pixie Dust Orbs from the village. These will be large glowing orbs. You’ll be able to easily spot them.

They can move, though, so you may need to chase them before you can catch them. Use the interact button/key to catch them.

When you’ve collected all 3 Pixie Dust Orbs, visit a crafting station to repair the 3 Broken Lanterns. You’ll find the recipe to repair them in the ‘Functional Items‘ part of the Crafting Recipes interface.

You can repair these one at a time, or increase the number to 3 when you’re in the repair recipe to fix them all at once. Return to Skull Rock with the lanterns.

You’ll need to place the Pixie Dust Lanterns on all three Rope Winches. When you approach the Rope Winches, the tops will be sparkling. Interact to select the lantern and place it.

Interact with all 3 Rope Winches to try and “trap” the mysterious shadow. The shadow will appear if you move the 3 lantern lights to shine in the same spot, and the shadow will have a quest marker above their head.

Talk to the shadow when it appears. Turn the Rope Winch near the gate until it shines on the gate, where another Rope Winch is attached. It should also illuminate some Jade Skulls. Talk to the Jade Skulls.

You’ll need to answer 3 riddles to continue your exploration.

I’m used to explore the waters and shores, a swaying home atop the sea-foam. What am I?

Answer

A pirate ship.

I’m a winged creature, small and bright, with magic dust to grant you flight. Don’t be fooled; I’ve courage twice my size. Dare to doubt; that’s just unwise. What am I?

Answer

A pixie.

I’m an instrument of wind, and for him I’ll always play, as he laughs and grins to lead the way. What am I?

Answer

A pan flute.

Once you answer all 3 riddles properly, the Rope Winch will activate and you can interact with it to continue. This will begin a new quest, “A Ship of Gold“.

A Ship Of Gold

Catch up to The Forgotten. Dig up special items along the way. Some will have little pirate flags sticking out of the sand. These contain bits of treasure you can collect.

Talk to The Forgotten when you meet up with them, and look around the area. You may need to use your Royal Pickaxe to remove some large rock debris. Once you remove all the debris in the immediate area, you should notice a pile of glowing sand, or perhaps Pixie Dust, with an out-of-commission Rope Winch.

Interact to pick up the Rope Winch and the Pixie Dust. Talk to The Forgotten again to tell them what you found. You’ll need to follow a Pixie Dust Orb, and gather 6 bits of Pixie Dust as you go.

You’ll find 1 of the piles of Pixie Dust back at the docks near the entrance for Skull Rock. There will be a gate near the entrance as well. Interact with it and place the Rope Winch you picked up earlier.

Interact with the Rope Winch to open the gate to the right. Proceed through the gate to follow the Pixie Dust Orb. You’ll find part of the cave hallway you travel down will be breakable.

You can use the Royal Pickaxe to break through certain spots and get to treasure. You’ll also need to mine through sections of tunnel that are too small before you can pursue the Pixie Dust Orb.

For the last Pixie Dust pile, you’ll actually need to capture the Pixie Dust Orb. It will drop the last pile of Pixie Dust you need. Make your way back out of the tunnels and return to the dock.

Next, you’ll use the Pixie Dust to make something fly in Skull Rock. Try interacting with the boat at the end of the dock. Place some Pixie Dust and see what happens.

Return to the place you found the unused Rope Winch and Pixie Dust. You should now be able to cross to the other side of the cavern. Walk across the ship lengthwise to reach The Forgotten. There’s also paper tacked up near the Captain’s quarters.

On the main deck, you’ll see some coiled rope. Interact with the coiled rope to prepare a rope ladder. Interact again to use the ladder. This ladder will return you to the docks near the entrance of Skull Rock, in case you want to leave.

Talk to The Forgotten when you reach them. They’ll share what they’ve noticed about the barrels in various places.

There are a total of 3 pairs of symbols to match. You can ask the Jade Skulls for clues if you need them.

When you interact with the barrels properly, one of the quest milestones will complete. There are no other indicators to show that you’re lining barrels up properly. You just have to eyeball it.

If you move a barrel too far in a direction, keep interacting and that barrel will reset to its original position.
Barrel Match Answers

Match the Pixie barrel to the Bell barrel.

Match the Clock barrel to the Hook barrel.

Match Peter Pan barrel to the Sewing Needle barrel.

After matching all the barrels, you’ll need to find the key to the Captain’s Cabin. When you find the key, use it to enter the Captain’s Cabin. You should find an unused Rope Winch in the cabin.

Pick it up and then use it at the gate where The Forgotten is waiting. Interact with the circular base on the wall to place the Rope Winch. Interact again to open the gate. This ends this quest and automatically begins another.

The Music’s On The Walls

After you open the gate, head through it and up the incline. You’ll be able to see music notes on the walls. Meet up with The Forgotten and talk to them.

You’ll need to follow a large glowing note and catch it. It’ll drop a memory orb for you that contains a picture. There are a few items strewn around by the sheet music wall area, such as another key and glass. Retrieve all the items.

Expand to see the memory orb picture.

Head back to the Captain’s Cabin to unlock the treasure chest there. You’ll receive a paper which has a map depicted on it and a location marked with a red “x”.

Expand to see the map.

Return to The Forgotten to tell them what you’ve found. You’ll need to collect more of the glowing music notes, along with a buried treasure.

You can use the memory and the map to help you locate the music notes and treasure.

Answers for how to find all music notes.

Talk to the Jade Skulls to ask for one of the music notes. You’ll be given another riddle to solve in exchange for the music note.

Like stars in the sky, From wings does it fall. Happy, we fly, It’s magic for all.

Riddle Answer

Enter the treehouse in the Forgotten Lands to find another music note.

Visit the cave where Ursula was trapped. There’s a treasure spot to dig up, and orange fishing ripples with a music note to catch.

Travel to the Magic Castle to find the last music note.

Answer for how to find the buried treasure.

Take the raft to the island where Ariel was stranded. Dig up the marked treasure.

When you’ve found 5 music notes and 1 buried treasure, return to Skull Rock. Go back to the music wall area and talk to The Forgotten.

Place the pan flute you found and the musical notes in their proper places. You can do this by interacting with the pedestal with the sheet music on it.

Check the sheet music on the pedestal to figure out how to move the music notes on the wall. Interact with the buttons below the music notes to move them.

If you move the music notes too far, keep moving them until they reset back to their original positions.

When all the notes are in the proper positions you can activate the pan flute by interacting with the pedestal.

Talk to The Forgotten after trying to play the pan flute. You’ll need to trap the shadow so it can’t mess with the music notes.

The Forgotten has an extra Broken Lantern, but you’ll need to visit a Crafting Station to repair it. Return to the music wall area and interact with the Rope Winch to place the repaired Lantern.

Interact again to move the spotlight to match the other 2 lantern lights. Once all 3 lights are in the same spot the shadow will appear. Then put the music notes in the right spots on the wall again.

Try to activate the pan flute again. This time you’ll finally meet the real Peter Pan. After you chat with him, he’ll agree to play a game with you.

He’s picked Hide-and-Seek, so you’ll need to find him. There are a couple options to help you with this quest. You can follow his Pixie Dust trail, or ask villagers for clues, or a combination of both.

You don’t need to use either of the options, however, if you would rather find him the good old-fashioned way.

Hide-And-Seek Answer

Enter the Dark Castle and follow the Pixie Dust trail to locate Peter Pan.

Once you find Peter Pan, talk to him. Place his house somewhere in the valley.

Interact with the construction sign to have Scrooge build the house. It will cost 20,000 star coins. Officially welcome Peter Pan to your valley

Talk to Peter Pan, then return to The Forgotten and chat with them to finish the quest.
