Hades, like many villains, wants to prove himself. He wants to show people that his management skills are the best. Also like many villains, he’s not exactly open to hearing truth.
You’ll have to use your best diplomacy, and minion, skills to help Hades explore his options without setting the entire valley aflame.

Prerequisites For The ‘Yes, Your Lugubriousness’ Quest
Before you can receive this quest, you’ll need to do the following:
- Unlock the following characters:
- Ursula
- Mother Gothel
- Vanellope
- Flynn
- Have Hades at friendship level 4 or higher.
- Progress enough with:
- Scrooge McDuck
- Remy
You can check the status of this quest at any time by visiting the Quest log section in the main menu.
Talk To Hades
Once you’ve met all the prerequisites to receive this quest, you can talk to Hades to begin. He’s concerned with how people view his leadership abilities.
You’ll need to chat with Remy to see if you can convince him to let Hades run Chez Remy for a while. It may take a little convincing to get Remy to let Hades run his restaurant, even for a small amount of time.
You’ll need to keep an eye on Hades, and you’ll need to make sure Hades has the right ingredients for the Grecian Baked Fish he wants to serve. You’ll need to gather the following:

If you want, you can check Remy’s house for the recipe for Grecian Baked Fish. Once you obtain the book, use it from your inventory to learn the recipe.
Return to Hades and give him the ingredients you collected. Meet him in Chez Remy and then listen to the feedback from Vanellope about the Grecian Baked Fish.
Use the Royal Shovel to remove the residual grease fires (because you definitely don’t put water and grease together, that’s bad news even in the valley). There should be 7 grease fires in all to put out.
Talk to Hades when you’re done about his experience running Chez Remy. Your next task to help Hades is to dress up as a salesperson, incorporating Hades’ colors: black and blue.
You can use the special Hades quest filter in the Wardrobe section to choose garments that will fulfill the quest requirements. Once your wardrobe fulfills all requirements, Hades will meet up with Flynn.
Follow Hades and then listen to their conversation. Talk to Hades afterward to see how he feels about being a salesman.
Go to Ursula’s house to find Hades’ pay. There should be a note you can pick up on the floor. Select it in your inventory, and the item description should be the contents of the note from Ursula.

“Hades, I heard about how things went at Remy’s, so Scrooge recommended something you might enjoy. The reward for your delivery service can be found by the Library of Lore in a spot safe from your temper…”
Find Hades’ Wages In The Bind
The clues Ursula provides in the letter to Hades tell us we can find Hades’ wages in The Bind. You’ll need to fish to get them for Hades.
Search along the beach in The Bind for orange fishing ripples. You’ll fish up a quest object from one of them.
Talk to Hades once you have the item. Despite the setbacks Hades has faced, you have to give him credit for his perseverance at least.
His next idea is to talk to Scrooge, but he’ll need your help, otherwise he’ll end up ordering Scrooge around and we can imagine how that would turn out.
Visit Scrooge McDuck’s shop and talk with him about the idea of having Hades run the shop. After talking to Scrooge, listen to Hades attempt his first customer interaction.
You’ll need to use the Royal Watering Can to put out the normal fires in Scrooge’s shop. There will be 6 fires total to extinguish.
Talk to Hades about his most recent experience after you leave Scrooge’s shop. This will complete the quest.
