To restore the Storybook Vale, you need to work with Hades. It might not be ideal, but hey, at least it’s a plan.
One of the tasks you’ll have to complete is making it through the Mythic Trial in The Fiery Plains. You’ll be one step closer to fixing up areas of Dreamlight Valley.
Prerequisites For ‘The Promethean Flame’ Quest
To get ‘The Promethean Flame’ quest, you’ll need to do the following:
Have the Storybook Vale expansion.
Unlock The Elysian Fields.
Complete the Mythic Trial in The Elysian Fields.
Unlock The Fiery Plains.
Complete ‘A Moth To A Flame‘ quest.
You can check the status of this quest by viewing the Quest Log in the main menu.
Talk To Hades
To begin this quest, you’ll need to enter the Mythic Trial. Once inside, there’s a pedestal with a lever next to a drawbridge. Interact with the lever to lower the drawbridge.
You’ll then be able to cross over to where Hades should be waiting. Talk to Hades to see what he wants. Hades will explain you need to move torches. What you’ll actually need to move are large golden brazier bowls.
When you get close enough, you should see the option to interact. It will send them along a lit path to the intended destination. There are a total of three bowls to move.
One bowl is easily accessible. It’s directly to the left of Hades. To get to the other bowls, you’ll need to take the staircase at the far right and interact with another lever to lower another drawbridge.
Once the second drawbridge is down, you can cross over to access the other two unlit brazer bowls. Directly across from the drawbridge is a brazier base with a scroll on a pedestal. Interact to read the scroll.
Use your Royal Watering Can on the tiny water wheel connected to the brazier base. This will activate the brazier’s travel path. To the right of the scroll pedestal you’ll eventually encounter 2 closed golden gates. Take the nearby stairs to get to the wheel mechanism above the gates.
Use your Royal Net to turn the mechanism and open the golden gates. You’ll need to use your Royal Pickaxe to dig up the stones in the left golden gate and then interact with the back of the brazier bowl in the right golden gate to move it into position.
Interact with the bowl 3 additional times to get it to the proper final location. The third brazier bowl is on the left side of the trial. Travel to the left side of the scroll pedestal until you see the last unlit brazier bowl.
Near the unlit brazier will be another drawbridge. Use the nearby lever to lower it. Cross the drawbridge and use your Royal Watering Can on the tiny water wheel.
The travel path for the last brazier should be activated. Return to the brazier and interact with it 5 times to get it to the proper location.
Return to Hades once you’ve moved all 3 braziers into place, and talk to him for the next steps. You’ll need to interact with the corruption, but the prompt will say “exit”.
You’ll get a short scene and then automatically be in a conversation with Hades. Select the quest, if necessary, to complete it. Hades will recommend looking for another Mythic Trial in the Colossus area. You’ll be automatically teleported out of the trial.
